Many pictures on this site - the group - a militia - apparently made up primarily of veterans, all holding/brandishing AR15s and AK47s (I think I see a couple shotguns in there) wearing tactical gear.

So... why the change in vocabulary and tone?
"Annual rally" - that is, it happens every year. Not really news - and yet The Guardian picked it up.
Why aren't the AR15s described as "semi-automatic rifles"?

As I white person I support the same gun rights for black people as I do for white people. It is positive to see black people exercising their 2nd Amendment rights and I hope these black militia members consider who supports the 2nd Amendment when they vote and vote accordingly.

 

But black people need to defend themselves from the racist police.

But everyone is ignoring the association of black ghetto poverty with gun violence (in contrast to the mass shootings committed by lone wolves for whatever reason), and the further association of gun violence with law enforcement, in a two-way exchange of gun-violence involving police.

These guys are dangerous. This is the same group that showed up in Louisville and one of the members accidentally fired his gun and hit a couple members of his own group.

 

That's now a recurring theme at their rallies. They should hand out chest seals and tourniquets before they march.

 

Yeah, they should just drop the "Not" from their name.

 

They need some training for sure. Not everyone grew up around guns, or was in the military, or LEO.

It would be nice if they would ensure the inner city neighborhoods are not overrun by criminals.

 

NAAGA is 91% AA (last I checked) and the rest is all other ethnicities.

With 40,000 members (also last I checked), thats a pleasant number (and growing faster than any other gun rights group) of black folks unlikely to be voting to have their guns 'controlled' for them
