What is the problem with that? It's how Facebook was designed and marketed to be. It isn't (and never was) intended as any kind of mass broadcast medium but for communication within like-minded social groups. If you received every single public post in your feed you'd be inundated constantly with new posts and it'd be unmanageable.

Now plenty of people try to use Facebook for more than it was designed, be that out of ignorance or an intent to manipulate and work around it's design, and Facebook itself hasn't done much to discourage them since it still makes them money but they're still all wrong.

Actually, it doesn't work like that. Section 230 doesn't distinguish between 'platforms' (a term it doesn't use) and 'publishers', it talks about 'service providers' and 'publishers'. Deciding what content you host does not make you a 'publisher'. Creating content makes you a 'publisher'. Facebook, Twitter & Youtube do not create content, they facilitate its distribution. According to Section 230 only the content creator can be held liable, not the service provider.

So, choosing not to publish the lies your Dear Leader and his minions push has ZERO impact on legal protections. Now, I know you won't believe this because you believe the lies that you've been told, but its true. Sorry, no legal jihad against companies just because they don't facilitate the stuff you like.
