Looks like while Trump and Giuliani were chasing their tails looking for fraud, the real usurpation of power was unfolding in plain sight.
Facebook was censoring our president, and now Facebook’s former execs with strong ties to the CEO are looking to get serious government positions and gain political power.

The left was claiming we are becoming a banana republic under Trump. Well, congrats, because this is exactly the sh!t that tends to happen in banana republics!

They have access to virtually every American and have influence on what they see shared by others.

 

Where is the pro-Snowden and pro-Assange crowd? They were quick to criticize governments tapping pretty much everything it wants, yet no one talks about Facebook and Twitter having this sick union with a political party, whose member became a president.

Hhmm, 4 yrs ago, when it was discovered that Russia used FB accounts to pass information, Trump supporters claimed no one was affected or too few.

I think everyone understands that when they make a public post on Facebook, it won’t show up on the news feed of every single Facebook user. The platform gets to pick and choose who sees your message.

 

That sounds good.

Facebook has every right to not display content in violation of their terms.

 

You still don’t get it.
Anyone on Facebook can make a post and share it publicly, not just to friends.
Your post can be perfectly within terms and be as benign as a statement “Hello world!”, and not every Facebook user will see it on their newsfeed.
There is an algorithm that makes decisions who to show your message. And Facebook proved that it’s perfectly capable to alter this algorithm on the fly.

 

The thing trumpees can't grasp is that trump is a freaking lunatic. He is a madman. He is a psychopath. He is a perpetual liar. That is the difference.

Once you grasp those simple truths the world will make sense again. Why that isn't obvious to you baffles 80 million true Americans.

 

Oh well.

Anybody who has a problem with that is free to leave Facebook at any time, or invent their own social media site.
