Why is there so much hate, and why is the country (US) so divided?

Just look at what Dirty Donald is and has been doing to the country since he first declared he was a candidate his hateful divisive speeches throughout his presidency. And since the election, and its result, his unending attempts to kill democracy in the USA.

No thanks. Most of those "brainiacs" are lazy and unemployed and saddled with debt. I would rather work along side the average blue collar American who isn't too good to role up his sleeves and get his hands dirty than the liberal "brainiacs" who are too good to do a full day of hard work while protesting the college debt they voluntarily took on.

And how was that self loathing? I am PROUD to be an American. It's the liberal "brainiacs"(putting those two words together is such an oxymoron, as if a college degree makes you a brainiac lol) who self loath their own country.

Yes the functional, happy family in that picture looks so repressive. The single parent homes with "liberated, independent women" who draw more social services than most people we are plagued with today is such progress from those times.

    I was waiting to gloat.

I’ve long had a fascination over what causes certain groups to adopt the beliefs that they do. It is something that I can speak more freely on other platforms. In the studies I have seen, the denial of the election results was predicted. It will become part of the lore which they will hold for decades to come, how the election was stolen from the best president ever. Just another excuse to distrust “the Left”.

Did you know that the average college educated person earns something like a million dollars more in their lifetime than does an average non-college educated person? The educated are less likely to commit crimes, tend to have more stable lives, and live longer and healthier.

I personally think both parties are full of themselves considering they somehow manage to nominate and elect the worst possible candidates they can and the bar is lowered with every election. I don't get angry about it. I just accept that we will probably see a President with Down's Syndrome in the near future at the rate we are going.

Tempest in a teapot. The media selling pharmaceuticals and the freedom of expression on this board gives the impression that we are at daggers drawn.

We are all getting tired of hating each other and will go back to work, concerts and sports soon enough.

I hope that entertainers will knock off the speechifying every time they go on stage or on Twitter. That would retard progress.

Speaking of idiots, who the heck claimed most white people had power?
I stated, white males, had all the power. As a group. Not that every white males were in power. Can you understand the difference?
Odd how you think enslaved people had self determination.
How much do you know about redlining that took places for several decades?

Only for those who were shocked a black skinned president actually happened in the USA. If shook their very foundation of power.

China doesn't think they're buzz words. The "sheeple" listen to the Mainstream media...bought and paid for by the Chinese.

Let me start by saying that l'm not a great fan of Obama's, but one of the main reasons is because of his seeming deference to big money interests &, relatively speaking, we've seen a lot worse.

So now that I hope I've dispelled any illusions that I'm, "an Obama man--" I have actually been a Sanders fan, you know, the guy who said that Obama should have a Primary challenger after his 1st term-- let me ask you about those allegations you made, the same as I would ask if you'd been directing them at Trump, or G.W. Bush, or Nixon, or whoever.

What was too obvious to be missed, in your post, was a complete absence of examples of Obama bringing America-hating to the mainstream by talking about his, "anti-American sentiments," as POTUS. If this is the person you want to hang that heavy cross upon, the patient zero in our current, "America hating" epidemic-- though I, honestly thought this thread was about hate towards one another, & if you think that hate of America is manifested by hate for our fellow citizens, it would be wonderful to have you explain how that works-- one would think you would be replete with instances of him doing this.

Yet, although you even say you know that, "a lot on the left will disagree," and I see that you're a well-known member, so I'd assume you've figured out by now that citing concrete examples, supporting facts, evidence of your thesis, is the way to prove your argument over contrary theories, it's puzzling why you offer nothing that one might recall happening during those years, especially as these supposed events must have made quite the splash, to've had the effect you attribute to them. Given this gaping omission by your, "argument," I would expect that any thinking person, on the left, center, or right, would wish to hear something of substance under-girding your conclusion, before being willing to endorse it.

And maybe that is the explanation for the negative reaction, mentioned in your post, towards those who, "had a problem with Obama's anti-American sentiments," being thought that, "it was because you were a...racist." It's not so much that, "They(the left) could see no other reason why you could disagree with him--" as I mentioned, Sanders had many disagreements with Obama, but I do not remember him getting the reputation of being a racist-- as that if you assert strenuously that our first Black President is doing terrible things, without being able to cite any of them specifically, what else would you expect a reasonable person to conclude?

Nah, that ain't it because a racist like Biden likes blacks that are "clean and articulate ". He said so himself.
