Since when can we control global climate and it's natural cycle and why would we want to interfere with the natural cycle? Tell me what is the properly maintained temperature that should be the climate. If the climate gets too cool what is the plan burn more coal or something? How do we reheat the climate if we are to regulate it? Life on earth has always adapted to the climate not the other way around and it has always been better to be warmer than cooler.
And commitments are meant to be fulfilled right? So when the other countries commitments and equal our own and they exceed them like we did withOUT the accords let me know. There is NO reason that can ONLY do it if we sign these accords.
CO2 is not pollution. And in 2019 our per capita was 16.06, the Congo was .03. So in which country would you prefer to live and work? And here is China And here the US https://ourworldindata.org/per-capi...countries with some, and Canada at 15.6 tonnes. Who's doing the better job? And of course you can probably take the Chinese numbers and at least double them.
It's a joke watching him shuffle into the room and fumble with his mask, which he touches the outside sits there and caresses the outside outs it down and then rubs his nose with his fingers, mumbles through having to look over and ask his aids what am I signing and then they rush him out before he can say anything else of answer any questions. Trump would sit there for an hour and take questions and actually state his positions and policies on matters.
US 15 tones China 7 tones And you ask that question. China is getting tired of living like Pittsburg in the early steel days. They will turn it around with a vengeance when they decide to.
The people in the impacted areas are going to demand help from their governments for relocation. It will also impact agriculture, which will also demand government assistance. If you think democratic nations are going to ignore the voters demanding help, I'd say you're pretty naive.
Because we want to leverage our actions to influence the larger polluters. Unless there is a global solution, there is no solution.
ROFL and what exactly does that mean? How do we gain leverage by resigning the accords. They are still in it why aren't they doing it on their own? We have shown them leadership and what can be done. Then the other countries should do their part as we have. I love how the it is always said we should not be the world's police or force our will on other countries but we are supposed to do so here? Why doesn't Biden just demand they conform and threaten to stop trade with them or something the accords have no teeth in them it's all feel good attack the USA stuff.
Never had to before and it will take decades it will be a VERY slow process. I've lived on the Gulf Coast for decades. We have a causeway which is barely above sea level. It's been barely above sea level for the 65 years I have lived here. Or tunnels are not full of water. And no hurricanes aren't more often or stronger. Although all the environmental hair on fire running around after Katina and Ivan I have since had to pay about $30,000 in "hurricane zone" wind riders on top of my home insurance I have never used since. And agriculture does better at warmer temps with more CO2 in the atmosphere than it does in cold with paltry CO2. So again I ask what temperature is the climate supposed to be and if it falls below that who do we regulate it back up?
Who's doing the better job? And of course you can probably take the Chinese numbers and at least double them.
I don't know why you keep asking that question. Obviously China has 1/2 the pollution per person we have. I also don't understand why you don't believe their numbers. The International Energy Agency is a Paris-based autonomous intergovernmental organisation established in the framework of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development in 1974 in the wake of the 1973 oil crisis.
Yup. And more chart-fu: CO2 Stats Please note that the US reduced its carbon footprint from 6.13 billion tons in 2007 to 5.28 billion tons in 2019. Meanwhile, China increased its footprint from 6.86 billion tons in 2019 to 10.17 billion tons in 2019. In the same timeframe, global output rose from 31.29 billion tons to 36.44 billion tons. In 2007, the US accounted for 19.6% of the total global carbon footprint. In 2019, the US accounted for only 14.5% of the total global footprint. The above stats are from Our World CO2 Emissions.
The Paris Accords are only a beginning. More will follow. I believe GM announced yesterday they were going to eliminate all combustion engines by 2050. The days and the technology of fossil fuel energy sources are over...which, of course, is not going to be easy to accept for those whose livelihood depends upon the fossil fuel industry.
Yes I do. These so called experts manipulate the data to support thier narrative. Is Greta Thunberg one of those experts? How quickly she faded from the spotlight...
So an entire field of science is wrong because Breitbart said so? Greta isn't an expert. But climate scientists and their peer reviewed studies are. Surely you can refute the 13 federal agency report that shows AGW is real without any doubts, right? Want me to link the report, and then you can debunk it with peer reviewed data from this decade?
