    Yes.

They do work, to a degree. Not the degree they say, but it certainly doesn't hurt.

So why would they say don't wear one?

    Because you will.

And what is to stop people with fake “buttons”? You complain about being “forced” to wear a mask but who is going to police the wearing of buttons?

    Great!!

But, you implied in the post to which I responded that we should all get the shot when medical science could prove more.

NOW, you seem to imply that we should all be getting the shot right now!

I agree with the second of those two for the reasons stated - and some others, too.

Wearing a bulletproof vest doesn't change the fact that your best protection remains not getting shot in the first place.

I don't. I have the Covid-19 antibodies running through my body at very high levels per my test. I'm good.

Yes... yes.... no trust by you for your fellow American. We should just tattoo the Conservatives... we get it. We know who you are.

    Because I will what?
I remember them saying N95 masks were not necessary but never “do not wear any mask”.

Those who have bee vaccinated (like I have been) STILL NEED TO WEAR MASKS according to medical science.

Being vaccinated is NOT some sort of free pass.

An individual who is vaccinated can still carry enough virus to spread the disease.

Our restrictions need to be gauged by how well we have reduced the disease.

Whether our current vaccines last for 6 months or a year is something to be determined later. Within that time we could find that a significant percet of the vaccinated population is no longer immune to any reasonable level.

We could find new strains that render current vaccines useless.

We could find that there are reasons for some portion of the population NOT to take any of the current vaccines -remembering that they have not undergone full testing.

Making uninformed guesses about the future just does't make ANY sense.

What makes SENSE is listening to science based medicine TODAY. And, THAT is that everyone needs to wear masks, wash hands a lot, don't touch your face, stay away from gatherings of humans, etc.

And, that includes those who are vaccinated.

.04% * 10% = .004% chance of dying once a person has the vaccine. People like me with the antibodies are virtually bulletproof. What you are supporting is unscientific and anti-math hysteria.

Y’all have done it to yourselves. Conservatives once just had different ideals than everyone else — many of them completely valid. But they could be trusted not to outright lie on every thing they said. Now it has turned into a party of lies and conspiracy. It doesn’t hold for all conservatives but it does for many.

Unfortunately it's NOT all about YOU!!

Having personal immunity such as is claimed by our vaccines and by medical science investigation of those who have survived the disease does NOT suggest that masks are no longer needed.

Those who have been vaccinated are NOT 100% protected. They are unlikely to get seriously sick.

Vaccinated individuals can still carry enough disease to infect others and thus those vaccinated still need to wear masks in order for the USA to get our infection rate and death rate under control.

It was STARTLING to see Ms. Greene stand in her own defense before the House of Representatives and tell LIE after LIE after LIE.

And, not just "political" lies - but, EASILY verifiable lies about what she herself has said and done - even lies about her support for the killing of other representatives!!

Then, the Republican Party stepped in with full throated support!!

It really is unbelievable how far the Republican Party has descended.

Maybe you should re-read the thread.

"On Tuesday, the Trump administration announced that it was going to release the supply of COVID-19 vaccine doses it was holding in reserve to be used as second shots, days after President-elect Joe Biden announced his plan to do the same. But there is no reserve anymore, the Washington Post reported Friday: The Trump administration’s Operation Warp Speed in charge of vaccine production had already begun shipping out that stockpile of second doses since the end of December."

Thanks so much for your post as it demonstrates how in today's culture anyone claiming to be an authority on the Internet is viewed as an authority.

Here is what the Columbia Journalism Review says about your authority.

The Columbia Journalism Review describes Media Bias/Fact Check as an amateur attempt at categorizing media bias and Van Zandt as an "armchair media analyst."

Here is another opinion regarding your authority.

    Whatever, dude.

Question to CDD: "Do I need to wear a mask if I have received 2 doses of vaccine?"

So can you refute the claims of that WAPO article or not? Because you're just calling everything fake in an attempt to be the "Authority" figure in this case, with no proof and it's coming off as silly.

P.S. The actual fake news conspiracy theory climate denial "ClimateChangeDispatch" cease and desist didn't seem to get far:

My wife and I wear these and goggles when we go out.

    E2A8BF8A-030D-4F7A-8C5A-FE76AE6611E0.jpeg

This stuff in inexpensive, available on Amazon and likely in a store near you, simple to employ (check YouTube for videos on your specific equipment), and comfortable to wear unless you're doing heavy work. Specific questions? Call 3M.

    Saw this on Amazon today.

I'm not recommending Amazon, but just illustrating this stuff can be had at prices most of us can afford. Most people use a medium respirator. There are different types of respirators...

... so anyone interested should do their own research. Serious protection can be had so going out the store isn't risky business.

Eye protection varies with glasses people wear, but is also easily had.

News 23 days ago about something that happened even before that.

And, I think it has been made clear since then that there never actually WAS an "Operation Warp Speed", as the guy supposedly in charge really had no clue about it, and there was nothing in place for Biden's people to take over last month.

I don't know what your argument is, but surely it needs more than you give in support.

You sound like one of the people in the religious section of PF demanding that people prove God is not real.

It is not my job to disprove every fake news source liberals choose to use in political forum. It is up to the WAPO to source their stories and establish credibility.

My thoughts on veracity -- when someone deliberately lies on at least one occasion they are a liar. Therefore, your vaunted WAPO is fake news put out by liars.

    This isn't what happened.

You asked the poster for proof of his claim. He gave proof, you didn't like it. You lost the debate because you were incapable of debunking his credible link, and went off on a fake news meme tangent.

    No it's not. That's a stupid meme.

Refute the WAPO article, it was the citation you asked for. The ball is in your court.

Here is the article. Vaccine reserve was exhausted when Trump administration vowed to release it, dashing hopes of expanded access - The Washington Post

I own one of those. I didn't buy it for COVID, though.

When I go to a store I usually wear a KN95 (available from Amazon), which is a Korean product that gets good reviews in the medical community - better than the surgical masks we see so often, maybe almost as good as an N95.

The stretchy stuff, the "neck masks", the cheap grocery store knock offs, the bandanna direction - that's all rated as not worth much of anything at all.

Then, there are the TOTAL scams - like the ones with valves to ENSURE they are absolutely worthless!!

    What an astoundingly cheap argument!

That reporter apologized!! How often does one see THAT level of concern for the truth?

All you are doing is discarding arguments you can not rebut by just smearing everyone in the vacinity as liars.

How about actually showing concern for finding the truth?
