We will see how Biden handles a lot of things from now on.

I accept your argument. I only wish that "boorish" bull in a china shop chappy was a lot mo re ethical, , less paranoid, and verbally less offensive. To me character matters....... and his character was on full display......and it turned a lot l of people off ........and made them cautious about him. Anyone that cannot admit a mistake and then work to correct it.. (not blame other people for it)......has serous issues. Language matters.... It reflects the character of a person. When autocrats and dictators are primarily the ones that seems to approve of him on the wold stage...........not sure that is a healthy picture ...

Unless, this country no longer wishes to be a leader on the world stage.........by word and example.........then perhaps none of this matters. Dignity & civility goes along way......and so does respecting protocols.

Not to mention actually respecting and upholding democratic institutions! Trump wants us to ignore the results of the last election just because he is too big a baby to accept losing.

I do not think this is a fair statement and here's why. Trump inherited the bulk of his fortune from his father. Just like other rich kids, he didn't have to learn to compromise, negotiate, show concern for others, work with people he didn't like or do the whole laundry list of things most of us have to do to adapt to living and working with other people. This is not his failure, but his parents' failure to teach and guide him in that direction.

So, while I agree he is boorish, childish, unethical, paranoid, offensive and callous, it is also true that he just never learned these things. There is a book that I really like called "The Birth Order" by Dr. Kevin Leman which offers insight into how we interact with the world based on our position within our family of origin.

This is not meant as a way to excuse or justify his behavior, but an aside to the complexities of interpersonal relationships as seen through the looking glass for people that have never had to develop these interactive social skills.

SUMMARY: He's a jerk and he doesn't know how to not be a jerk. ;-)

Indeed. And that ,is a serous character flaw. (it is also quite delusional..........and that is a form of mental unhealth. That does not cover his pathological lying and paranoid projection.. What is concerning is how so many in the GOP........along with his supporters....continue to reinforce his delusions. That is the last thing one does with a delusional person. Or one that might believe his own lies. One is then just reinforcing his false reality. And that does not help him deal with the facts and reality at all.

Yep, and this is why the GOP is in need of some serious housecleaning and soul searching. It is chock full of the worst kind of people after all these years of extreme partisanship that has seen Republicans elected and rewarded for being obstructionists and liars more than competent politicians who put country and Constitution first. It has become the Fox News party, and perhaps even worse, especially since Trump came along. Almost entirely gone are the Republicans who would stand up to him and his radical base, the few remaining being chastised, booed, and outright cancelled.

Spot on. what you are now touching on is the causes of his "character flaws" aka mental un wellness. His fathers was not anexample of virtue. He had big expectations of Donald. Donald has had a chronic fear of disappointing his dad.........and would do anything to seem successful. Rules and standards did not matter all that much in the Trump family dynamic. MONEY , and success defined by money & status. Values did not factor n all that much. Lawyers could always get a Trump out of trouble. In reality I think he had an unhappy childhood........and continues to be unhappy and angry as a default state. I don't think he ever had the kind of emotional support a child needs to develop values and sound character. He might have had the material things.......but lacked what really mattered. Because he is such a pronounced personalty........ psychologists will study him for years to come. So will political scientists.

Yeah, his "Deep State" can't do much to protect him now that he's out and they're being replaced. I think we're gonna start seeing the extent of Trump's corruption and scandal come out now.

Trump's father is described as a high-functioning sociopath by Mary Trump. You can see where Donald got his worst traits and habits. His mother was apparently absent or did too little to get involved at various times in his life.

From what I have read and what Mary Trump has indicated......... Donald did not get much quality parenting. Dysfunctional family dynamics.factored in a lot.

We are going to see a lot of ink exploding right about the mid terms and like all of it through his Presidency, it will just be noise. After there will be the same laments of "we got him but he cheated us, if only we could get his tax returns".

Trump wanted to be a dictator and when that happens, there can be no democracy. It was the right thing that The American majority voted Biden in and Trump out. It was right that the voters have spoken. Trump thinks he will be reinstated in August. Let's hope that doesn't happen. I hope to God that it doesn't.

I can't think of a single thing Trump did that would lead me to believe he was trying to be a dictator. Everything he did was within the boundaries for his place in our government. Come September Biden will still be in the Whitehouse and whoever is running the country will still be doing so.

He was not just a abuser of power........... , he was and still is a threat to democracy. He was as much of a dictator as he could get away with. Good thing that the pillars of checks and balances that keep democracy healthy.....remained strong. The risk is still there as a lot of folks still support a Trumpian version of autocracy. There is good reason for world alders to be relieved that Trump is gone. He verbally abused many of them too. (unless the gave him a military parade to honor his ego)

Indeed. A prescription for creating a sociopath. The right mix of family dysfunction, genetic inclinations, inadequate ego boundary development, environment,.........and voila !!.

Pretty hilarious. Nothing you can point to proves any of your fantasies. In fact this pretty much describes what democrats are doing.
