How is Trump bringing us to the brink of civil war?

We now know that Trump was pressuring Pence into stopping the certification of the election. If Pence would have given in, the GOP House would have re-elected Trump as president against the will of the voters, because the GOP represented the majority of states in the House. That's how close we came to a takeover of the government by an unelected person.

Now, if that had happened, what do you think the public response would have been? Would the majority of the voters have just said "thank you very much" and continued with their daily routine? Or would the Dem voters have felt cheated and started public unrest? Think about what you would have done if a president of the party you oppose would have instigated such an obvious power grab.

Now, I am not saying a civil war is imminent, but widespread public unrest, absolutely.

We currently have authoritarian rule and a President that does not honor the judiciary.

I'm sorry, but Biden and the Dems won, so they have the constitutional right to implement the policies that his voters voted for. Just like Trump had the right to implement the policies his voters voted for when he won. I didn't like those Trump policies. That didn't make him a despot. You don't get to pick and chose which rules you obey or not, depending whether you like the president in office. If you want Biden out, vote for Trump, that's how it works.

Too out of shape, can’t run up a hill, can’t dig a foxhole,

Insurance won’t cover civil war losses or injuries,

Interferes with previous plans like vacations, travel, holidays, birthdays, etc,

Your boss says you have to work that day,

You find out that the battlefield accommodations and food are not to your liking,

There’s no WiFi where the battle is,

The local civil war commander doesn’t validate your feelings, and ...

Many feel Trump was cheated out of his win. I honestly don't know if he was but I'm ready to have someone other than Trump. I'm not excited about him anymore and part of that is the aftermath from the 2020 election which was due to Trump.

 

That is how it will happen if it does.Trump, supported by the Billionaires Cabal will hire mercenaries but it won't work. They'll take his money then turn him in. Nobody is crazy enough to go head to head with the US Army and why should they? Trump would certainly throw them under the bus at the first sign his coup is failing. Coups depend on the military first and foremost and Trump's treatment and denigration of the military means he has little support among them

Foreigners such as yourself should study the Constitution before proclaiming what is in it and what parts of it mean. You are so far off it's pathetic.

Any state can choose to not certify or decertify an election result. That is the right of the state. If any Presidential candidate doesn't get 270 electoral college votes, there is a process in the Constitution that determines the winner. And if you don't like our Constitution, well you know what you can do. People bitch and complain about the two party system, but if we had 3 or 4 viable parties, reaching 270 would become the exception, not the rule.

 

I cannot say for sure, but it seems to me you have repeated this line multiple times, or others of similar mindset have posted the same. Do you realize how pathetic an excuse that sounds? How many decades have gone by with Repub Cons laughing at the feelings of the poor, or those who ask for justice, or those who live by their words? We don't rely on "feelings" to count votes.

Trump had to fight { tooth and nail } to get a border wall built.
Trump did what all other Presidents only talke about.
Making Jerusalem the city of our Embassy.
Trump stopped Isis.Created Oil Independence for the first time
in U.S. History.Maintained a secure border.Helped halt the influx
of dangerous drug smuggling.Plus sale of stuff like Oxycontin.
Trump built-up our National Defense.Modernized equipment.
ALL of these Positives under Trump have been discombobulated by some
Crazed and habitual Liar who couldn't act any faster to acheive some nefarious
