They are the same facility. Different names for which city particular sections extend into.

What's the average family power bill in America, per quarter?

In this country the average is around $650 - or $2500 per year. Of course many people pay more than that - especially those who use 24hr heating or cooling.

So the truck driver labor shortage is because of what they “perceive” Biden might do?

That’s a leap even for you.

What do you believe should be done?

Here, quite a lot of age pensioners can't afford to run heating or cooling. Thankfully neither are crucial to survival, and on the odd day wherein temps enter a danger zone, such people will usually spend that time in a location with climate control. Shopping centres, public libraries, the homes of relatives, etc. Power is phenomenally expensive here, so this kind of thing is going to increase.

We either need to start retrofitting buildings to be less climate-control dependent, or we need to rebuild everything.

Heating oil has increased by 77 cents per gallon in my neck of the woods from this time last year. The local community discussion page says it has increased a further 40 cents over the past 7 days and is continuing to rise. Luckily I purchased all of mine at the "lower" price a few weeks ago. Pretty hefty bill when you need to fill up a 500 gallon tank. And around here unless you have a 5+++ star energy rated insulated home you're going to burn through that tank in anywhere from 2-3 months if you're lucky, if that. Prices were high last year (at least we thought) and the government still had the audacity to fuss at folks for burning massive amounts of firewood due to the "air quality".

This is going to be a harsh winter for a lot of folks. Not everyone can afford to drop a couple thousand bucks every 2 months just to heat their homes. And if you can't afford that and try to supplement your heating with wood burning they'll mail you a warning letter and threaten you with fines if they declare the air quality has decreased to a certain point unless they decide to grant you a waiver if you jump through all the hoops and they deem you worthy of one. And no this isn't one of those "you can bundle up more and use electric blankets or something" places. Without a constant heat source you literally will die.

This is getting ridiculous. I feel bad for people.

Its a horrible choice to have to make.
I have no problem with energy efficiency, I am FOR it.
But when things are hard enough and govt says now it gets tougher it infuriates me.
A few years back I traveled to East Texas with an old friend.

We stayed at his grandparents home, it was where my friend grew up.
I'm from the Midwest, I know cold but it was particularly cold in his grandparents home.

They had a fixed income. Gas was expensive. They were elderly and cutting wood was hard and didn't warm the parts of the house where they spent their days and nights. Plastic sheets were hung to contain the heat but again, it didn't help where they were.
This is a long way of saying they suffered, they struggled because of the cold.

That trip I wrote about a dozen songs on an old acoustic guitar. An ovation once owned and used by Stevie Ray Vaughn.

As in the bill of sale, and SRV signature and later he mentioned it in magazines and interviews.

By buddies mom was an actual friend of his back in the 70s into the 80s.

Many large private sector companies are trying to figure out asap what Biden is doing. Hes head faking them saying a mandate is coming (he knows he cant) but companies then "decide" to require testing, vaccines, etc.

I practice medicine and have seen the fails at all levels.

From mass layoffs, to required testing twice weekly, to those tests are too expensive so just wear a mask, to NOTHING.

This is a clown show for idiots.

Except he does have that authority through OSHA. Several transport companies already have existing testing or vaccination requirements and virtually all of them “strongly” advise employees get vaccinated.

This shortage of workers has been ongoing for close to a year so I don’t know how you have jumped to this happening because of what Biden might do…
Terrifying, hopefully just from behind a desk

Mass layoffs in the transportation sector happened when demand plummeted — trucking companies were given wavers so they didn't have to close and they were eligible for covid grants / loans. Required testing was imposed by the employer themselves and was fairly rare.

So again, third time asking — what should be done here?

The Federal mandate isn't in effect at the time being. So what are you talking about?

Will really suck to live in the northeast this winter, especially if you rely on natural gas or fuel for heat. It and California are the only two regions that are really highly dependent on LNG coming in by boat. The rest of us will see some price hikes, but not nearly the problem those two areas will because most of us are serviced by evil transcontinental pipelines.

Bidens energy policies have led directly to an increase in fuel prices.

A cold winter means a lot of added expense.

The supply chain is a similar but separate issue. It too will raise prices.

This is what happens when democrats are in power.

It is amazing that trumpists believe that an old, pervy, senile man has such an amazing grip on power over the entire planet. Keep on mind, this is the same man they call sleepy Joe and has no cognitive abilities.

LOL, you can't make this **** up!

    Politics 101:

1.Take money, resources and power from the oppositions core base.
    2. Give the money, resources, power taken from the opposition's core base and give it to your core base.

The RP flunked Politics 101. ;-)

they have no track record of that. Democrat politicians have always been against the common folk. Democrat voters with their Democrat votes support that agenda

Tell me how higher prices on everything is good for the common folk? That is what Democrat votes brought upon this nation
