    A 911 call to the police was a witness who saw Laundrie strike Petito. The cops didn't bother interviewing that witness. If they had charges could have been filed and the guy jailed. Police incompetence caused the death of a young girl. I'm sure those small town cops had more important things to do. Just how many cops showed up to talk to Laundrie and Petito? 4 maybe 5? Yeah they were all busy doing nothing.

    We know she died by strangulation. The rest are just details. It will be him. As for his parents, I suspect they knew this wasn't going to end with him alive. Beyond that, there is no point in persecuting them by proxy IMO.

    I have to wonder, did the parents plant those items to throw off the search? Kind of coincidental that they found those items, on a trail, after the parents joined the search.
    They've already demonstrated they would conspire to hide their son.

    their biggest mistake was living in a small space together, seems like they both abused each other and this fight got out of hand, he strangled her and then killed himself
