An observation about the Gabby Pettito case

Do you know if its normal in the US to get court dates for minor assault even if the assaulted person doesn't press charges?

My assumption is that he has already died and they are just looking for the body at this point.

 

It's also how books are written and most other art is made, You don't kill somebody because they have unrealistic aspirations

 

Or he's in the Maldives/some other place with no extradition. Keep in mind we're still not being told how this woman died and that leads me to believe it's a salient point. Possibly she wandered off and ran afoul of the wrong person. The fiancee noted she was missing and then realized he would be accused of it since they had trouble with police already. His treatment when he got back convinced him he should best get away if he ever got the chance and he did.

 

I do believe there's more to this story than both the public and the FBI are aware. I also however do believe the possibility exists that the fiancee himself is dead/has committed suicide.

 

You just made a good case there for his alibi. I think he will be apprehended and give it a go! Mom and Dad should be going before a Grand Jury anytime now. I suppose they know the plan!

 

Ever wonder how 22 and 23 year olds have enough money to buy that van and live off love for many months? Wonder what kind of temporary jobs they had to earn that kind of money in four or five years? Did they go to college? Brian's Mom and Dad let them live in their basement or whatever. Seems he is a "man child". When little kids don't get their way, they have tantrums. Seems like a tantrum might have led to death this time.

 

Think rationally about the circumstances. There's a man hunt for this dude, and it's been well over 3 weeks. While it's possible he's still alive, I have my doubts. People have to eat, have to live off something, someone has to see this individual and as of this writing, no one's seen a thing at least of public knowledge? Yeah, I'm willing to bet there's at least a 40% chance this guy's dead.

 

Thinking rationally.....I live on the edge of three National Forests. when a squirrel dies you see buzzards and crows. When a deer or an elk dies, you see many many buzzards and crows. Guess it would be the same for a human, ya think? When a Mom and Dad says their son went on a "walk about" and didn't return, they probably would be frantic and join in the search, ya think? What do ya think about Mom, Dad and the "Man Child" going off on a several day excursion to northern Fla., before? Maybe to cach some supplies? Think the local swampland walkabout might have been a ruse?

 

Let's give the FBI(reluctantly) a little credit. If they had evidence, solid hard evidence that his parents collaborated with him, they'd charge them with association in a hot minute. Especially now that he's been charged a fugitive. Not only that, but they would've used their being charged as propaganda to try to bring this man in.

That they hadn't of yet gone down that road, leads to believe they either don't think it'd be useful, or that the parents aren't the collaborators the media, public at large thinks.

Basically, let's let the investigators do their job.

 

Dog is more credible than the FBI for crying out loud! They couldn't even find Hillary's e-mails or do anything with Hunter's lap-top. You've got to admit though, it's funner to just wait them out. Mom and Dad must be feeling the anxiety now! You are right, the powers that be will do their job...just takes time.

From the bodycam, she got given a court date even though the guy didn't want to press charges? What the hell sort of nonsense is that?

 

There are some really dumb policies and laws regarding domestic violence.

And policemen. Once you're making enough of a fuss that police are called I would think arrests are called for, not just a talking to.

 

Maybe they would just watch the parents and wait for them or Brian to make a mistake and lead them to him? I don't think he's dead and I think Mom and Dad know where he is and are in contact.

 

Think there was an exception because they were travelers, since they agreed to spend the night apart then move on. I still don't get it.

 

You make arrests when you have the person there. Being arrested is not the end ot the world. It can help people out and is usually expungeable given time and circumstances. The important thing is it gets the people on the "radar" so to speak.

 

I an guessing the combination of a decomposed body in the woods and the high profile nature means the medical examiner ain't gonna say nothing else until it is final.

Anyway, there doesn't seem to have been any recent spottings of him so unless he somehow hitched a ride out of state, the critters are probably gnoshing on his remains at this point/

 

The United States goes completely to HELL for the last six weeks, and what do the news media (INCLUDING FOX NEWS) shove in front of everybody's faces, day after day...? THIS melodramatic crime show distraction...?

How many women get lost in the U. S. every day? How many people get killed in the U. S. every day? Obviously, somebody in a 'think-tank' wants the national attention focused on trivia like this....
