    So it is looking more and more like we poked and prodded Mother Nature and she finally bit back with a vengeance. As to Fauci, I'll leave that up to courts, but I don't think he did any different than any other politician would have done in his shoes. Right, left, center, doesn't matter. They all lie to cover their own butt. I will say that I sincerely doubt his intentions were to expose the world to a pandemic.

    As Dana Loesch tweeted last night, after the NIH admitted it funded gain of function research, “Lot of people owe Rand Paul an apology.”

    Rand Paul has been consistently correct, the entire time.

    Maybe the staff here won't bury this story which should lead all newscasts. This is huge news that we finally have the admission from the NIH. We all knew it was true.... well all of us non-lock steppers.

    Fauci is the God Father of the CV-19 Virus. He should be charged with Crimes Against Humanity. Initially, they should arrest and charge him now for lying repeatedly to the U.S. Congress while under oath.

    They did Gain of Function and now it is documented and admitted.

    This should be a bigger scandal than Watergate. The government lied about funding that research for two years, over and over, and went along with Facebook and Twitter banning the lab leak as some weird conspiracy theory. Fauci should be fired and charged with lying to Congress...apparently multiple times.

    Instead he'll retire as a hero of the establishment.

    Lock him up, lock him up. The typical Trumper battle call for people on the Trumper no likey list. That should make their lives better, locking up an 80 year old guy who devoted his life to fighting infectious disease, including Aids.

    Even though I knew this was a possibility, this bombshell is a bit shocking, mostly because of Dr. Fauci denying this, or at least answering in a way that intentionally gave the impression that he was denying it. Did anyone have more luck than me, getting to see the actual NIH letter? (I downloaded a PDF file, but was unable to view it). I would only like to confirm that NIH did this through NIAID, of which
    Fauci is the Director. NIAID is only 1 of 27 "ICs" of NIH, (which stands for Institutes or Centers). Still, it seems likely, based on the divisions of NIAID, which include Immunology, among other things, that this is the IC that was used and, therefore there is no excuse for Fauci to not have been aware of it. And he must have realized that the truth would, eventually, be known. So it is a head-scratcher, that Fauci would lie, or even mislead about this.

    I'll bet one percent of people even know what gain of function is. It is when you intentionally make viruses more lethal. Should be called gain of lethal function. Fauci spearheaded it and should be imprisoned.

    Show me in the letter where it states they admitted to funding gain of function testing. All they said was they funded research into whether or not spike proteins in coronaviruses could attach to ACE2 in mouse models. I don't see anything about funding for potential gain of function.
