No Biden doesn't want to invest in education, unless you mean paying off student loans. The Democrats for years has fought against allowing private schools to give parents choices and a chance to place their child in a school that will fit the needs of the child. Why do they do it? Because the teacher's union is against it. They have it made in public school and the fact they can get tenure makes it next to impossible to fire even bad teachers in public schools.

We are making it easier to become teachers by making fewer exams and states are making it easier to pass kids to the next grade level by giving fewer test. Meanwhile kids in 13 Baltimore schools, none could pass math tests. How are we to compete by making it easier to be a teacher and having to learn and then allowing in millions of low educated immigrants? Democrats are making America a second class country that won't be able to compete.

We don't need to invest more in broken education. Biden's not going to fix the problem he is simply going to throw money at it. That's not a fix. And they do this because the teachers unions are the biggest supporter of the Democrat Party the best way to fix public education is a get rid of the unions get rid of the concept of school districts and have schools compete on merit.


This wouldn't cost anything it would probably save.

 

even the worst schools have good teachers. even the best teachers need to belong to unions or they will soon be loving under the interstate and hitch hiking to work. my school district's experiment in "competition" has pretty much proved that charter schools are not the silver bullet.

perhaps it is time to listen to the teachers and education professionals instead of the politicians and capitalists.
