Contra Costa County health officials on Tuesday shut down an In-N-Out Burger restaurant in Pleasant Hill for violating the county's vaccine mandate on indoor dining, according to a county statement.

Contra Costa Environmental Health suspended the commercial food permit of the In-N-Out Burger at 570 Contra Costa Blvd. "for creating a public health hazard by repeatedly violating a county health order intended to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission," the statement said.

Even after the restaurant received repeated notices of violation and had been fined, it continued to serve diners indoors without verifying their vaccination status or a negative test result, the county said.

    The closures aren't stopping there.....

    ============================================

It appears two In-and-Out Burgers have been closed in the Bay Area with many others targeted for closure as well. The company says that it will not be the vaccine police over its customer base. It's too expensive.

If you have never had a Double Double Animal Style... you're missing out.

What many don't realize is how inexpensive In-and-Out is compared to McDonalds or Burger King.

Read the story. You are not correct. That is not the reason for the closures.

They have mandated their way to 47 hospital closures with 300 more on the brink and thousands of federal employees, law enforcement, first responders, medical staff, airline pilots, and air traffic controllers but not to worry.

They left says its good to get rid of them to make room for their vaccinated media driven leftist soldiers.
Problem is, they don't have any. Hence, hospitals and restaurants shutting down.

thanks for posting this. Let's consider some irony here.

The same folks who support the tyranny of the "papers please" mandate are the same who claim voter ID is wrong and harmful.

What's sad is much more harm is caused by Democrat votes.

I will never understand how anyone can vote Democrat...................never

I have to agree with them on the drug issue. Illegal aliens, on the other hand, are not subject to such mandates as they operate their street taco stands. They don't even have to follow the same food handling safety guidelines as the legal businesses.

If you showed up to buy a burger and they didn't verify your vaccination status, you would know they weren't doing it to others either, and you could leave to go somewhere that does. At most, simply mandating that a sign be placed at the entrance to the property that vaccine status is not monitored would protect anyone who was worried about it from being unknowingly exposed to people they want to stay separate from. Closing the business down is unecessary, draconian and authoritarian.

In and Out has announced 5 stores are now being effected and this number may grow.

I think it's fair that Leftists / Democrats should not get to enjoy a Double Double. They voted for it.... that seems right.

Perhaps a voter ID card at In and Outs where you have to prove you are not a Democrat should be required to order?

exactly, this is govt over-reach but that seems to be O K in CA with the voters. If it were not, then why are Democrats in power?

Another shining example where Democrat votes have consequences; always negative

And do you know the expense in verifying injected status, or testing done on a frequent schedule? Record keeping costs? Time involved? Inconvenience? who carries those costs? What is the purpose, since both injected and not injected may transmit?

Pick your battles indeed. This is actually a more important one then you may think.

i know where that burger joint is in Contra Costa Co.
I checked where i last lived in Fremont, CA and the one there is still open. Here in Idaho they won't shut down.
Forget it, we don't have that franchise here in this town in Idaho.

which is why I said easier to just offer togo meals, rather then indoor dinning

it's what most of the fast food places do

We who were vaccinated are told we still can catch the virus and give it to others.
Ca has turned into a dictatorship.

if they were an olive garden or something, I could understand more, but fast food places, just easier to comply and not offer indoor dinning

that said, I do not support the rule.. stupid

To go still involves employees preparing food, and limited customer contact. California isn't going to turn a blind eye to it.

but it was only for allowing people to dine in that was the issue, outside dinning or to go orders were fine, no need to verify

    now they have no business

It is a battle that needs to be fought. Restricting customers from actually dining in based on a fallacy of transmission is supporting the overall idea that uninjected people are to be feared and treated as less than.

Now apply that idea based on age, religion, nationality, gender, sexuality and skin color.

    Is it worth fighting for?

Lol as we’ve done for over 100 years. Did you or your kids go to public school? Because vaccines were required.
