:confuse:' ~ Shrink the economy with lockdowns and stimulus money. Then when the money stops people go back to work and we say " job growth ". Inflation is here to stay ...

Your OP is not sourced, but it is disingenuous, (all periods have ups and downs) and your conclusion is false, noting the exact opposite is true, given the fact that there was a net increase of 467,000 jobs. This means, contrary to your opinion, that the economy is on the rebound and doing great, overall, despite Omicron.

And the 4.67k wasn't a net increase. It was a total increase that's how it is set up. It's been that way at least since the Clinton regime. The government simply doesn't compute net jobs gained. They leave that to people who are willing to dig in the weeds to find it. And yes the governments been lying to you about economic crap for so long now almost no one even bothers to look at the actual data and those few who do get dismissed as kooks.

No Tramp NEVER EVER hit a LFPR of 64.1% as you falsely claim even after you've been corrected!
The highest the failure Tramp got was 63.4%.

Are you in the correct year? No link? Or is this simply made up, as usual?

The U.S. economy added jobs at a surprisingly rapid pace in January, with restaurants and bars leading the way in hiring as consumers brushed off a record-breaking spike in COVID-19 infections.

The Labor Department said in its monthly employment report released Friday that payrolls in January rose by 467,000, easily topping the 150,000 jobs gain forecast by Refinitiv economists. The unemployment rate, which is calculated based on a separate survey, ticked up slightly to 4%. The increase is largely because the labor force participation rate climbed to 62.2%, the highest level since the pandemic began in February 2020.

Your spin is tiresome. Actually, it's not even spin. It has devolved into outright untruths. That's why you won't post links .

The word 'net' means, despite losses in some sectors, the total was up.

You're not really countering the statement.

Well, 2002 is as far back as this chart goes, so there's a long way to go before we get to the last high water mark.

See the 2 gray areas of the chart. R's were in presidents office when they started. Pretty telling data.

    Huh? What?

You are not aware of those 2 big drops in the last15 yrs that happened when a R was president? I don't support those policies.
They lose the jobs and then we reelect them to lose more jobs.

Sorry not net. See the word total. You lost 301k but gain 467k for a total of 166 +. The feds constantly massages numbers to try to paint a rosier picture for the current regime if they like it.

And at the same time Bidens saying the economy is great- There is no dog food in our local grocery store. Nothing. While shelves look full, grocers are spreading out what they do have to fill the holes resulting from what they don't. My company has had to start using imported plastics for our acrylic products, something we have never done in 20 years. We use a proprietary coupling- and that part is out of stock not only at all distributors but at the manufacturer, because of a raw material shortage. This part is commonly found in many medical devices. Even though you can't get it- the price to back-order it has doubled.

These things are happening because we aren't producing; a lot of help doesn't show and too many of those who do- don't really want to work. We are also experiencing this because of the supply chain having so many interruptions. When you can get supplies, it's taking much longer to get. Shortages, for any reason- cause higher costs which are amortized over a small production, making higher prices unavoidable.

Bottom line is that these are people problems; in part a result of lockdowns and covid restrictions, and in part the attitudes that are developed when leadership goes berserk over one problem to the level they forget anything else. Then of course- when they lie about it, people are confused about what is real- and don't know what they can do to change things.

Personally- I think the list of culprits here is much longer than "covid". It includes misleading information and directions from the medical scientists, bad strategy from the politicians that accepted that, and bad politics from all the people who sought to take advantage of the disruption of order in America- and media who has long forgotten what journalistic ethics are; and have turned into propaganda machines.
The list of lies and liars to the American public is long and ugly.

I've been waiting for years for someone- anyone- to come up with a plan to repair the increasing damage of inept politicians and policies, but nothing comes to light.
So... friends and I are working on it. Not impossible, just has to be the right tool.....

Sadly- Joe Biden, the puppet who sits in the oval office- has failed in every area... including the ones disparately needing attention, but getting ignored.

Blame shifting makes him look even worse.

Even governor DeSantis says he shut down Florida only because Trump told him to.

DT didn't just say 'job growth", he said "tremendous job growth". Unfortunately he never came anywhere close to recouping the jobs he lost.

Wishing bad times on fellow Americans. Seriously why? Sad state of affairs when one wishes their own country to fail.
