    ~ Neither is Politico. Remember the unemployed who drop off the "official " government statistics and remain without work are not included.
    Most are people simply returning to the job market - not new employment/jobs .

    Because the economy hasn't been in a shutdown and Trump had the economy already in recovery when Biden took office. Let me know when Biden hits 33.8%

    Especially considering Republican governor Greg Abbott reinstituted business capacity restrictions, closures and a mask mandate that lasted from June 2020 to March 2021.

    And no that is not occurring now and thankfully Trump was in office and with his policies helped to get that HUGE recovery going.

    It assumes no such thing. I specifically said (twice) that we had it in 2020, 2021 and 2022. We have had 2 full years of Covid, one which ended in economic disaster, and the other which was pretty much the polar opposite.

    As for State governors, Gov DeSantis lays the blame squarely at Trumps feet (right or wrong).

    What is your point here?

    2020 ended with a HUGE recovery. It was predicted we would have another Great Depression and we did not. The "Trump shutdown" was a matter of weeks, governors refused to reopen and even pass more clamp downs.

    If -3.5% is a huge recovery in your opinion, then so be it.

    So, the economic collapse it Governors fault, but "huge" recovery is due to Trump..... Well, that wasn't skewed at all.... lol

    4th Qt 2020 GDP growth was 4%.

    "Real gross domestic product (GDP) increased at an annual rate of 4.0 percent in the fourth quarter of 2020 (table 1), according to the "advance" estimate released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. "
