Gender orientation is not a choice.......... no matter how much some think it is. Do heterosexuals CHOOSE to be that way?? Of course not..........They just are. Same with gay people.. Sexual inclinations are a part of the genetic make up of a person..........as are the color of one's eyes........only more complicated as it involves certain personal attractions & behaviors.

Colorblindness is a good example.

Colorblindness is harmless such as homosexuality. Neither poses a real threat, but both don't help mankind to evolve.

They are marginal mistakes that nature easily can afford. If homosexuality or color blindness were dangerous, they simply wouldn't exist.

 

I don't doubt that, but it may raise lots of problems. Children love to live in a family of males and females, parents, grandparents, brothers & sisters, etc., fulfilling distinct roles.

Children living with a gay couple will see other children living in intact families. They will always ask themselves: "Why can't I have this? What did I do wrong?"

Solid relations ship require solid people, with sound and consistent values and a genuine appreciation for each other. This is a maturity factor- If you can't be a partner, you can't keep a partner.
Those who have that capacity have long or life long relationships; those who do not keep looking for someone who will make them happy- while they make that person miserable. The first is a win-win situation, the second a lose-lose situation.
This is part of the reason the nuclear family is critical to a sound society, because that is where most solid kids are raised.

 

I’m not sure why it matters? Whether it’s innate or learned is completely irrelevant. Just because you’re born with a mental illness (for instance psychopathy) doesn’t change the fact you still have a mental illness and need treatment. Whether you were born with said mental illness or you learned it is irrelevant to whether or not your behavior should be normalized.

Every individual is unique in his/her DNA, Soul, and spirit. Just as many have a propensity to goodness, many have a "propensity" to imperfection in many different ways. Our job is to seek how we may overcome our imperfections. We must not "identify" with them. Saying we were "made that way" is just an excuse.

They want to be just left alone. The fact is they want to force people to do things that is against their faith, and morals. They want to force you to use pronouns that don’t match scientific evidence to the contrary. They want you to bake cakes that force you to entertain an idea you don’t support. It has nothing to do with control on our part. I personally don’t care who you marry but I will never accept homosexuality as okay and something we should be forced to support.

 

Well- sometimes. If you were born a sociopath, normalization would be disastrous. If you were born with a penchant for pedophilia or many other socially harmful things- they need to be rcognized, but damn sure not normalized.

I've found most gay people for example are like the rest of us, with a different sexual attraction. They aren't harming anyone, not promoting any aberration, just trying to live happily. However, the nutcase who runs around trying to advertise a perversion is worse than a person running around naked. At least the naked person is promoting a natural condition. Yes you do having unprotected sex on a frequent basis while doing one night stands all but guarantees an eventual bad outcome. How bad is simply the luck of the draw. Unless of course you went celibate in which case whether you're gay or not is largely irrelevant.
