Yes, and what she really said was that being governor of Alaska meant she had foreign policy experience because its so close to Russia. That is actually far more stupid because she was serious.

The SNL skit was just playing on her ACTUAL stupidity.

    You're welcome.

She's way too much of a dinosaur in what your party has become... Stranger in a Strange Land....

I'm recommending Alaskans write in Don Young... He's still more interesting than she is....

She’s the trailblazer in what it is becoming. She should serve the rest of the term and be elected again in November’s election.

Not at all. Her work for the base and with the tea party is credited with leading to Trumps success in the party.

Alaskans!!! Make sure you write some meaningless date on the ballot envelope, if one is required...

Did you ever read the story of "Santa Claus"?? Guy has had an interesting life, before he became a groomer by giving gifts to children on XMAS....

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/oct/15/santa-claus-north-pole-alasak-politician-medical-marijuana#:~:text=Claus was born Tom O,the holidays for some charities.

Hey, there's no way he could be less qualified for Congress than Andy Biggs.....

Over the last year, with over 300 endorsements, he's batting 0.700. Who else has even come close?

Nothing screams bringing Christianity back into America like voting for a divorcee and in another case an adulterer.

Disappointed to see Santa only pulling 6th place... They need some jolly people in Congress, instead of more angry middle aged Republican women.......

Here's an interesting article on how voting for the visually impaired in Alaska sucks, like it possibly does in most states. Well worth a read for everybody, except the most die hard MAGA's, who don't care either way....

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/alaska-supreme-court-reverses-lower-040100788.html

Made me think.... of all the threads about normal voting hurdles in this country, how do the visually impaired manage to vote??

    SNIP
According to a 2016 survey by the National Federation of the Blind, there are around 17,600 Alaskans with a visual disability.

It's an interesting system. It changes things up. It should have an effect of cleaner races, as you not only want to defeat your closest opponent, but, you also want to be their supporters second choice.

In the GOP primaries, except for Trump and Reagan, for the most part the conservative base would run several candidates, the establishment would settle on one, and the Conservative vote would split while the establishment candidate "won" primary after primary with 35% of the vote. This would break that up as the second choice of the defeated conservative base would almost certainly be another member of the conservative base.
    1. Sarah Palin GOParrow_circle_right 32,371 29.77%
    2. Nick Begich GOParrow_circle_right 20,994 19.31%
    3. Al Gross OTHarrow_circle_right 13,563 12.47%
    4. Mary Peltola DEM 8,101 7.45%
    5. Tara Sweeney GOP 5,712 5.25%
Either of the top two here are solid choices for the GOP, I assume that Tara's votes will be allocated to some combination of 1 and 2. Gross actually is a Democrat, running as an "other" for some reason, I'd say that Mary gets eliminated next with her supporters second choice likely going to Gross.

At this point Begich and Gross are likely tied. If Gross is eliminated next, it wouldn't surprise me if Gross' second choice if Begich, where if Begich is eliminated next, his supporters second choice may be Palin, but, I don't know AK politics well enough to know.

Fortunately for the GOP , either would be a very nice addition to the team.

The interesting thing is that they will do this in August to finish the term of the deceased and one of them will be the incumbent in November for the House race. In the senate it will be interesting to see the breakdown between the GOP incumbent, the GOP challenger and the other two with these order of preferences…
