It depends on the maintenance intervals. An oil change could possibly take place after about 3 to 5 years.

Transformer oil is recycled, not just thrown away. :)

some think dams can cause environmental issues... and they can, that has to be thought out as well when setting up new dams

but they are a renewable energy source

    'environfreaks' sometimes go too far
just as sometimes 'oilfreaks' sometimes go too far

    psst..

dont tell Colombus or the pilgrams that wind is not a source of power..wind was one of the earliest source of poweer for ships

I guess the first was the man powered row boat

if there was an internet message board back in the early 20th century

    it would read like below......

electricity will never replace beeswax or tallow candles for light

oil will never replace wood and coal..

Internal combustion engimes will never replace steam

the automobile will never replace a horse and buggy

vaccines will never be a success..polio is here forever

smoking is good for you,,,it relieves tension..some doctors recommended pregnant women smoke

women and black people will never vote much less play sports

I say to all you naysayers of progress,,

be careful, you may soon look like a fool to your children

because the post I replied to included Trump first, maybe they are the ones you should go after

their Quote : "Are you going to provide an original thought here, or are we simply going to hear from yet another uneducated leftist who tries to deflect their ignorance and lack of intellect by mentioning Trump?"

Nope, that was my quote. And we already discussed this.

Might have someone, somewhere in this thread, mentioned Trump? Sure.

But I've already pointed out in OUR conversations, you mentioned Trump first. Seems like you confused someone else with me and bluesguy.

No worries, but you really need to let this go...

Thankfully, capitalism and the free market allowed us to move past those naysayers.

Someday, maybe, the free market will allow us to utilize solar and wind and nuclear to power our society.

But having environfacists ignoring the free market and using a totalitarian Fed.gov to force their religious-like mantra on normal Americans is simply foolish...

    Nope.

In post 117 you pasted my quote as the one you claimed prompted you to respond; as we know, you were in error here.

You got mixed; it's ok, it happens. And if it bothers you so much go through the entire thread and show us the Trump quote you are referring to.

We'd have been a dollar short if you hadn't highlighted my sentence.

But you did, so I think you're still confused at this point...
