We can come to an agreement that slavery in America was a disgrace and a major mistake....that will never go away, even if reparations or any other restitution happens.....

However, the irony of it is that America would not have the entertainment that it has without black people.....

Michael Jordan and his billion dollar empire of Jordan sneakers, Etta James and Beyonce, Billie Holliday, Jackie Robinson, etc.

Let's be honest: white athletes and entertainers today are not well-liked like the black ones.

When was the last time a white baseball player was universally liked like Hank Aaron, Ken Griffey Jr. and Derek Jeter is?

When was the last time a white hockey player other than Wayne Gretzky or Mark Messier got attention in the mainstream press?

Loretta Lynn, country music legend, died yesterday. Not much mourning nationally.

When Kobe Bryant, basketball legend died in 2020, the whole world stopped.
    upload_2022-10-5_17-56-33.png
Same with Michael Jackson in 2009....
    upload_2022-10-5_17-57-58.png
    Get my drift?

Slavery was the stupidest thing white people ever did in the New World. How else would black people have gotten here?

There were already some black people here when the U.S became a nation.

I’m confused about your title. What do you mean enslaved people had no part in building America?

No...what I am saying the irony is that WITHOUT slavery, you would have no Michael Jordans, Beyonces, Jay-Zs, etc.

How about this: live a day, just a day, without using something invented by white people.

Do you want to hear something odd, the left says illegals boost outer economy and lower our crime rate, they never say that about blacks. Other than entertainment, what can the left tell us about all the great things blacks have done as a whole? Yes, some of them gave us medical and industrial breakthroughs and inventions, but as a group, what can you tell us about their contributions to this country other than they picked crops?

Where we where would we be without loud obnoxious rap music glorifying violence in the thug life?

I would be so sad if I didn't hear that crappy music blasting wherever you go.

Is black athletes being more likeable really the best thing that’s come from having black people here as a result of slavery?

Maybe that’s not how you intend to sound, but that’s how it comes across.

Ha, a lot of white people love rap, more than Black people these days. Rap music is universal, it's beloved all over the world. I have my qualms on it, but it is way more popular than white people music (country, opera, etc.)

Tell that to white rappers like Eminem, Ridge Long, Jack Harlow, Bezz Believe, etc.

    Ridge Long - YouTube

Watch the reaction when a rapper dies. The world comes to a standstill. When a white singer dies, it's keep it moving and the world doesn't end. Get my drift?

Music is a matter of taste. I doubt Michael Jordan knows how to design sneakers and build manufacturing facilities in China to make them. Blacks excel at physical sports, that’s true.

What I am saying is that white people are seen as dull and boring, that Black culture is wildly popular in America.

Here's the root of your problem. You don't understand the complexity of history. You think that inventors create in a vacuum. They don't.
They need the goods and services of other (usually cheap labor) to free their time for inventing, and don't have to spend
their days grubbing for food. You disregard the complex relationship between providing raw materials lying at the base
    of creation.

You don't understand that we wouldn't have a country if we hadn't had the money from world trading of cotton and tobacco - profits generation
through cheap labor, to finance the revolutionary war effort. You don't seem to understand that much of the wealth
generated in this country came from control of cheap labor. It doesn't help to invent a light bulb if you can't manufacture the lightbulb
in vast quantities - again, cheap labor.

So, even though you, yourself invented nothing, you can sit there and pat yourself on the back for sharing the skin color
of the actual inventor, but it means nothing. You are no more responsible for that invention than any other laborer, regardless of skin color.

And that's not even mentioning the tens of thousands of non-white citizens who contribute to society every day - the doctors, the engineers,
the firemen, the police, the business people.

But whatever. You are stuck on the small percentage of a race that indulges in violent crime. Should we say that since 90% of securities
fraud is conducted by white people, that we shouldn't allow white people on Wall Street? Can they be trusted with our investment
money? Never mind about the 95% of white people who haven't indulged in securities fraud - cause using your logic, we must
judge all whites by the actions of that 5%.

Why are you telling me this? Tell it to the guy who thinks Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant saved humanity because they played basketball. Oh, and he likes music that uses the N word, denigrates women and calls for murdering cops. That’s not something to be proud of.

    I could truly care less.

It's obnoxious and it glorifies criminal behavior. The white people I know could also care less

Hip-hop/rap is wildly popular globally. Young white people don't listen to Garth Brooks, lol.

About the raciest song he has is cat scratch fever. Let me know when he starts singing songs about shooting up the hood and beating woman and selling dope.

And just for your education slavery was legal under the United States flag for 77 years.

I love how you come here and try to convince us that we should believe something that everyone else believes when no one really cares

Okay .. so white people only have Country and Opera in their music lexicon. Great start, Eric!

And no, the world comes nowhere near a 'standstill' when a rapper dies. Outside of the fan demographic and perhaps a part of youth culture in America, no one knows or cares. NO ONE.

No it didn't. Most of of the world had never heard of him.

These people aren't anywhere near as known or cared about outside America, as you think they are.

Take it from an American. I heard it mentioned in the news but it sure did not alter my day any.
