Matt Gaetz Says Defunding Ukraine Should Be Top Priority

Alleged child sex trafficker Matt Gaetz is championing a new cause, now that he has a puppet speaker.

Defunding Ukraine.

Why? Who knows. Maybe he views Putin as a sympathetic figure. Maybe he agrees with Putin's attempt at a wholesale slaughter.


Personally, I think aiding a country in not being overrun by Russian imperialism, a country with whom we are aligned, a democratic country with their burgeoning democracy working amazingly well, is a moral and strategic imperative.

Republican Representative Matt Gaetz said the U.S. should reconsider the amount of money it's sending to Ukraine as a top priority.

Speaking to Fox News' Laura Ingraham on Monday, alongsde Representative Lauren Boebert, Gaetz argued against politicians refusing to consider reducing America's defense spending.

Host Ingraham highlighted that attempting to reduce how much money is put into defense spending would be a controversial issue for many Republicans.

Despite this possibility, Gaetz said the U.S. should cut the amount of money going to Ukraine before reducing its defense spending, a point he felt would be agreeable among Republicans.

 

It's amazing to me that a country invaded by a foreign country bent on recreating their old empire is seen as the enemy by a portion of our population. Politics does strange things to people.

 

Gaetz is right. One of the few that aren't taking kickbacks from the MIC.

 

The far greater majority of the nation wants to help Ukraine, and deems Russia has gone too far. With Russia being an old adversary, albeit no where near as bad as it once was, more like as Reagan said, trust but verify, still has that stigma with the US populous. The evidence of war crimes committed by Russia is clear, and as I said, the far greater majority in the US deems fairness a very important tenet in foreign policy to start.

 

Gaetz is a fool, and his views on Ukraine are supported by very few conservatives.

Why is that?

Because by arming Ukraine, the US is weakening Russia militarily and economically for a generation by spending only 5% of the defense budget.

That is why the whole of Europe is involved.

 

We're just getting started with Biden's Viet Nam.

 

Personally, and this is just my opinion, Gaetz is for this because he thinks it would please his lord and master, Donald John Trump. I believe Trump hates Ukraine because they did not go along with his stupid scheme and he was impeached for trying to demand they make up some bullshit about Hunter Biden in exchange for US aid.

That's not how Vietnam worked. That's not how Ukraine is working. That's not how any of this works.

I add that when the war will be over and the Russians will be driven out of Ukraine, the US will be the first to rebuild.

A Marshall Plan version 2023, like in Germany and Japan after WW2.

 

As Biden once said, Ukraine is one of the most corrupt countries on the planet. On top of that they are repressive and bigoted against anything the Z doesn’t like. Not only is this Europe’s problem and not ours, but it seems like Ukraine would be improved or at least cleaned up with Russia’s help.

And no, I am not a Putin supporter or communist, I’ll leave that stuff to Bernie Sanders.

Personally, and this is just my opinion, I believe Biden is all in on this because Z knows where Biden’s skeletons are buried and is blackmailing him. That guy has huge balls walking into our congress with his hand out, as if we haven’t given him enough.

Russia is using its gas and oil to undermine American hegemony.

Putin has been trying for 20 years to destabilize NATO and since his invasion of Ukraine, he has been moving closer to China to counterbalance the economic influence of the West in the world.

Of course, I don't mention the fact that he has threatened on several occasions to start a nuclear war if NATO continued to help Zelensky.
