He was right in the first one, but not PC. Trump was never gonna win the black vote.
The jungle comment was poorly worded.

When they voted for FDR despite his bigotry toward black people they don't care about words.

LOL.... So you also think you can't really be black if you vote Republican? Does it like make your skin color and DNA instantly change or something?
It wasn't poorly worded what it was, was racist. Anybody that voted for him has no real room to talk when accusing others of racism.

What do these Biden statements look like?
    Imagine if Trump said them

"They're saying, 'Jeez, the reason I was able to stay sequestered in my home is because some Black woman was able to stack the grocery shelf,'"

“poor kids are just as bright and talented as white kids.”

" financial regulation lifts would put y'all back in chains."

"You can't go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent"

“Unless we do something about this, my children are going to grow up in a racial jungle"

“I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man,”

“Unlike the African-American community, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community with incredibly different attitudes about different things.”

“Well I tell you what, if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”

”Latinos in America resist vaccinations because “they’re worried that they’ll be vaccinated and deported.”

“Blacks are afraid of being vaccinated, They are used to being experimented on—the Tuskegee Airmen and others,”

Biden warmly eulogized Sen. Robert Byrd, a former Exalted Cyclops in the Ku Klux Klan, saying he was “one of my mentors” and that “the Senate is a lesser place for his going.”

He straight up said he doesn't want his kids going to school with black kids but you don't see a problem with that.
So you too think someone can't be really black if they vote for republicans?

Stop trying to make excuses for it. Just go ahead and own it and say you don't care

Well FDR didn't agree with Eleanor's and Thai lynching campaign so FDR was pro lynching.

Actions and words don't matter at all.

It must also not forget Biden's support of keeping black people in jail so again he did more damage to black people than Trump ever thought about doing.

Where's an actions don't speak at all always forgiven if you have a D next to your name.

Biden supports putting criminals in prison, you don’t if they’re black?

No but I didn't supported a tough on crime thing that inadvertently targets black people and it doesn't work.

He actually did damage to black people but they still voted for him.

The people that vote for Joe Biden have Stockholm syndrome.

I think that comment from the laughing hyena, at the debates, is why Jill objected to her being Joe's running mate. The puppeteers overruled Jill, simply because the Hyena checked all the appropriate boxes -- other than being qualified for the job (something the voters recognized very early in the primaries - showing once again that the DNC thinks their supporters are stupid sheep).

In my opinion, when I read this, my opinion of Carlson actually raised a little. Mind you, the bar was on the low side to begin with, but I thought it was an honest assessment of himself, and I was a little impressed with his venture into humility.
His statement about fighting and white people was at least racially insensitive. I try not to label people so I'll sidestep the *is he racist* discussion, but I liked that he, at least for a moment, saw the bigger picture and found some humility in it.
As a white male, 62 years old, I've witnessed and even taken part in *racist* or racially insensitive talk. Years ago, where I grew up, if someone offered to buy someones lunch, one might say "wow, that's mighty white of you". I've said it, a long time ago, until I thought about the racial aspect of that statement. There are many lingering sayings and thoughts by white people that are racially insensitive that are slowly going away, thankfully. It will take time, but slowly but surely we are becoming a less racist society, and I see that as a good thing. And it starts with a little introspection like Tucker did.
Again, not putting Carlson on some pedestal, but I think, overall, he is growing in a positive direction.
Anyway, that's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it! (I'll keep using that old saying!)

But he did this "introspection" 2 years ago. Have you SEEN any positivity come out of this "introspection"? In fact, some of his most violent racist rhetoric on the air has come in the last 2 years. The George Floyd trial, racist remarks against Ilham Omar, the Tennessee three (two of them, at least), ... Can you point to ANY positive remark he has made in the last 2 years that would signal him .... even slightly stepping away from his racism?

So what good is introspection when you're saying "yeah... I know this is wrong... but I'm going to keep doing it anyway". Especially because racism is one of the main parts of the spiel that made him the most popular host on Fox.

Tucker is a white supremacist. There is no denying that. I would praise him if one day he showed signs of trying to improve on that. Not just saying in a private text anything like "yeah, I know I'm a racist, and I'm ashamed of it"... but actually taking steps to improve. So far... none! If anything, it's gotten worse.

I have to admit that I haven't watched any of Carlson's shows in a long time. The only one I watched in the last 5 years is when he came out with the Jan 6th exoneration show (what a joke), so I don't know what he has said on air.
I was only responding to the text he wrote, and as I said, his bar wasn't too high anyway.
I think it is a good reminder for the rest of us, though. We do need to do a little retrospection, probably daily, and get a little check on ourselves. I try to do it daily. I have a good method, I think.

I think the lesson is not whether or not you do introspection. It's on whether or not any introspection you do has any effect. In the case of Tucker, it didn't.

Yeah, maybe. But I don't know that his *on air* persona is actually Tucker Carlson, but a made for tv persona developed to make $35 million per year.
Not excusing him at all. He is responsible for any actions, on air or not.
Good point about the introspection and need for follow through. I've gone home from work, thought about the days events, realized that I was a little harsh or rude with someone, and apologized the next day. Tucker would do well to follow through with his epiphany. But he did have 35 million reasons to keep up the image.

Everything he's said for the last 2 years. George Floyd, BLM, Ilham Omar, refugees... any racist position he can take, he's taken it.

Sure, what made the 94 crime bill any more racist than any other laws?
