Even if this is only due to foreign exchange rates, it still suggests that Russia has been exporting a lot more on the world market than Germany and that Russia's exports are more valuable.

And Russia is still far out of frame, in the picture of the most wealthy nations, to which your own figures attest: listing China as first-- at 30 million million international dollars; the U.S. second-- at 25 million million; and India third, at nearly 12 million million. Whether a given country, then, is at 5.326 million million, or 5.309 million million, does not seem to be any earth-shattering difference



P.S.-- and I do not anticipate Russia's passing of Japan, at 5.7 million million, any time in, at least, the foreseeable future.

This thread is about the Russian economy, which is dwarfed by several individual US states.

The US economy relative to the rest of the world is doing as well as it's done in most of our lifetimes.

A larger economy but not a solvent economy. At least Russia's economy is solvent and they have enough cash to pay all government debt. In that regard, Russia's economy is more solid than any economy in the West. Any. Which is partly why the sanctions didn't work.

For Sanctions to be effective every other nation in the world that matters needs to be on board.. this is why the Iran sanctions were effective .. China and Russia were on board. The reason why these sanctions are "Broken" is because much of the world is not abiding by them. This serves to create a windfall for those that are not abiding (extra business comming their way) .. and for nations supplying the nations hurt by the sanctions - such as EU - Energy.

The US is getting hurt by loss of confidence -- an offshoot of the loss of economic hegemony brought on by the rising of a competitor to USD Sole world reserve currency status.
