President Donald Trump dropped a bombshell report on his Truth Social platform that the sham committee overseeing the investigation of the January 6th Capitol riot has destroyed their documents and records illegally.

On Tuesday, Trump wrote:

President Trump: So now that I have full Subpoena Power because of the Freedom of Speech Sham Indictment by Crooked Joe Biden, Deranged Jack Smith, and the DOJ, it has just been reported that the Unselect January 6th Committee of Political Hacks and Thugs has illegally destroyed their Records and Documents. This is unthinkable, and the Fake Political Indictment against me must be immediately withdrawn. The system is Rigged & Corrupt, very much like the Presidential Election of 2020. We are a Nation in Decline!

Well, that might be opinion, but as I understand it, Jack's indictments are exactly 2 of the 4 referred by the committee, so they were certainly in the ballpark..

This is about Rep. Loudermilk complaining about what the J6 Committee send over to the House, and his back and forth letters with Rep. Cummings, e.g. the two have disagreements. Or more evidence of the loss of civility in Congress.

Lol…the authorities have cottoned on to trump’s shenanigans.
They also decided to keep him in the dark about a search warrant for his twitter account because they knew he would try to destroy the evidence if he could.
They may end up having to incarcerate him before trial if he can’t respect the legal rules of conduct and keeps running his mouth and lying and threatening witnesses and judges.

Two questions.

1. Where does Trump get the idea that he has subpoena power? His lawyers can request evidence and testimony to back him up in court, perhaps that's what he means?

2. Where is his evidence that the Jan 6 committee's records have been destroyed? Is he still so ignorant about how our government works? Congress deletes nothing. Your link to a far right wing conspiracy theory website contains no proof of this deletion Trump is claiming, either.

Well, we pretty much knew when Nancy Antoinette's star chamber bunch formed up that they'd already arrived at their conclusions and just needed some testimony and documents or whatnot to support them.

Then they started with the secret subpoenas and secret witness lists and closed door testimony and sealing records and not sharing stuff and we knew the game was afoot.

And since they carefully edited everything to create their proffessionaly produced prime time circus for our entertainment we knew a lot of their evidence would remain forever sealed from us.

We had hope that eventually we'd get to see, but if the committee did indeed destroy records we can only assume they had stuff to hide.

the communications it had with the Biden White House that are still missing....they are looking at the security failure at the Capitol and are looking at how the January 6 committee operated itself... they don't have anything about security failures at the Capitol, they don't have the videos of the depositions.

The congressman also said they were required to turn over all this material by law, but they didn’t do so. The Chair of the Jan. 6 Committee, Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS), is claiming they handed over everything.

“No version of the letter to Mr. Sauber — either redacted or unredacted — or the letter to the DHS General Counsel was archived by the Select Committee or provided to this Committee,” Loudermilk wrote to Thompson. “Additionally, there is no explanation of what transcripts these letters are referring to or why you — in coordination with then Speaker Pelosi — did not immediately archive the records with the Clerk.”

We need legislation allowing defendants to move venue to their home district, so they can get out of the GOP slaughter ally of the DC Jury pool, and we need to move these massive agencies out of the DC jury pool, so that corrupt officials can be tried before balanced jury pools. Think "Try That In A Small Town". Small Town Juries would restore a lot of sanity to the Corrupt DC Establishment in double time.
