Donald Trump indicted in Georgia Election Probe

Of all his crimes, trump's treasonous attempts to overturn the election are the most important indictments.
His bribing porn stars, assaulting women and his theft of government documents are criminal acts, but not attacks on our democracy.
I hope that he is convicted of all the treasonous actions he commited and given a just sentence.
Given his unique situation as an ex potus, it might be better to parole him and put him on probation for years and force him to report to some parole officer each week for the rest of his life. And disqualify him from ever holding public office again.

 

Rest of his life, you are completely exaggerating. He didnt harm anyone. Probation for 5 years and as I believe in re-socialization I am impressed how eagerly he is fighting for a new job like the potus from 2025 on. Stability in job as stability in his social life is important. Best scenario for rehabilitation is he wins the election and has a stable and secure job then. Lts hope the Americans believe in re-socialization and re-elect him, its to the benefit of all. Vintage win-win ...

There will be much attention paid by the news media writ large to Mr. Donald Trump's statements about this latest tranche of indictments. Meanwhile, here in my home town of NYC, we've an AM radio station un which Mr. Rudolph Giuliani has a talk show at 3PM EDT. This poor old country mouse will be listening in to see what, if anything, Mr. Giuliani has to say about them.

I think he should ONLY be sentenced, if convicted, as anyone else who committed the same crimes. Why wouldn't he be?

 

Lets not hope for the worst, maybe the Americans could otherwise change the constutution to give him a third term afterwards, but according to your prognosis he has only one more term in him.

I think if he was sentenced he should be sentenced mildly. Maybe a sentence on parole with the opportunity to run for presidency in 2024.
