Indeed. The point was that somebody was trying to state you can’t be convicted of a crime if you aren’t there during its commission. After reading the full indictment it should be clear to all that Donald Trumps lies related to repeatedly stating he had won the election led up to the events on January 6th which resulted in deaths and arrests.

What Trump did was an assault on American democracy.

Trump could be called a cult leader as well because he has effectively brainwashed people into believing the election was stolen — they are drinking his purple koolaid.

Trump incited people to riot on January 6th. There is evidence that it was pre-planned.

The present indictment is dealing with him issuing false statements related to the election. It’s not just Trump, it involves 18 other people and at this point to say he shouldn’t be indicted is ludicrous.

 

I am extremely against one party rule and vote Democratic only because the Republican Party I has completely abandoned all principles of democracy.

The only person here saying their party should be above the rule of law is you.

Hi mate,...coming in as an outsider...and this is only a personal observation...but when one listens to him...he doesn't come over as someone fully in command of his brief, by that I mean he almost rambles through the topics without any structure or coherence...I mean I'm not expecting the world's greatest orators or anything like that....but when one listens to an American President one wants to come away with a feeling that there is a person that knows the issue, can provide the requisite leadership and ultimately commands gravitas?
