Why are Trump supporters silent when it comes to Trump?

A USA Today and Suffolk University survey showed Trump was ahead with 39% support among Latino voters surveyed, compared to Biden’s 34%, signaling a slump since 2020, when Biden garnered 65% of the approval from Latino voters.

"Trump leads among young voters under 35 with 37% support over Biden’s 33%, a stark drop from Biden’s 24-point lead among the voting group in 2020."

Where are they? Scan this thread. When it comes to the issues, Trump's supporters don't say a damn thing.

Because of his growing support, it is logical to assume that Republican voters love this.

CNN reports, "The most foreseeable global shock of 2024 would be the election of Trump, who would become only the second US president to win a non-consecutive term. The ex-president is already openly telling us that he intends to subject US democracy and the American-led global order to its greatest test.

"The Republican front-runner vows to use the authority of the presidency to wreak “retribution” on his enemies and gut bureaucracy to make the government an instrument of his personal power. Comparisons to Nazis are overblown at this point, but Trump’s rhetoric – including his labeling of political opponents as “vermin” and warnings that immigrants will pollute the blood of America – do recall 1930s demagoguery and augur potentially America’s most extreme presidency. Abroad, Trump is signaling he’d ditch Ukraine to cozy up to autocrats like Russian President Vladimir Putin, and his hostility to alliances could even endanger NATO."

Keep in mind, this is not what liberals are saying about Trump. The source of this information is Trump. He wants to be our next President, and it appears that Latino and young voters want to help him. A USA Today and Suffolk University survey

I clearly do not understand that, and they are afraid to talk.

If Trump has his way, future President could commit murder and get away it. Is this what Americans want?

    Is this what Republicans want?

NBC reports, "Special counsel Jack Smith urged an appeals court on Saturday to reject former President Donald Trump's efforts to dismiss his federal election interference case on presidential immunity grounds.

"In a more than 80-page filing with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, Smith argued against Trump's insistence that presidential immunity protects him from prosecution on federal charges that he conspired to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

"Separation-of-powers principles, constitutional text, history, and precedent all make clear that a former President may be prosecuted for criminal acts he committed while in office — including, most critically here, illegal acts to remain in power despite losing an election," prosecutors wrote.

"Rather than vindicating our constitutional framework, the defendant's sweeping immunity claim threatens to license Presidents to commit crimes to remain in office," they added. "The Founders did not intend and would never have countenanced such a result."

As is customary for them, I don't expect Trump Republicans to respond to this issue. After all, as this thread shows, they never have.

Nothing from Republicans, and they are largely in agreement with Trump as polls show.

And they want to pick our next President and control Congress following the elections this year.

Considering Trump's Republican base is located in the rural counties of the South, this is meant strictly for their consumption.

Everyone else knows it is pure B.S.

CNN reports, "Much of Donald Trump’s legal strategy in his federal 2020 election interference case has, so far, centered around trying to delay the start of his March trial until after the November presidential election.

'But in recent court filings, and according to sources familiar with the Trump team’s approach, other defense strategies have emerged – namely of absolving Trump, the front-runner for the GOP nomination, of responsibility for the US Capitol attack and positioning him as a victim of disinformation and overzealous government investigators.

“We’re going to walk down to the Capitol, and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women. You have to show strength, and you have to be strong.”
“When you catch somebody in a fraud, you are allowed to go by very different rules."
“We fight like hell and if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.”
"Now it is up to Congress to confront this egregious assault on our democracy. And after this, we’re going to walk down, and I’ll be there with you. We are going to try and give them the kind of pride and boldness that they need to take back our country.”
    *******************************************************************************************************************************************Donald J. Trump, Jan. 6, 2021

CNN continued, "His lawyers hope during the trial to point to people in the federal government he suspects are biased toward him, to foreign influence, and to election disinformation that led him to believe the 2020 contest was stolen."

Trump was told by his attorney general Bill Barr and White House counsel that he lost the election. He sought lawyers who would tell what he wanted to hear because of the money he was paying them.

He lost 61 court cases trying to prove it was a fraudulent election. Other Republicans who were on the same ballot were beyond question.

As this thread shows, Trump Republicans avoid reality. Their continued silence is deafening. Obviously, Trump Republicans didn't know any of this.

    They still don't.

Trump says he is absolutely immune from prosecution for actions he took while in office. His esteemed lawyers and the Republican leadership agree with him.

“We’re going to walk down to the Capitol, and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women. You have to show strength, and you have to be strong.”

"Separation-of-powers principles, constitutional text, history, and precedent all make clear that a former President may be prosecuted for criminal acts he committed while in office — including, most critically here, illegal acts to remain in power despite losing an election," NBC.

CNN reports, "House Whip Tom Emmer announced on Wednesday that he is backing former President Donald Trump in his latest bid for the White House. With Emmer’s announcement on X, all of the Republican House leaders have now backed Trump’s re-election campaign.

There you have it. The Republican Party endorses a man who wants to be immune from our country's laws. The man they want led an attempt to overthrow our elected government on Jan. 6, 2021, while President. Basically, the man is an anarchist who has thrown our electoral process into turmoil. The man Republicans want is facing 91 felony charges in four criminal indictments.

Trump Republicans, who are incapable of responding to these issues, are cheering. They love the idea of an anarchist for President.

    Do you?

I am not at all sure of how to handle this. While, to date, Republicans have failed to prove that our President has received a benefit from his son's dealings, Democrats are attempting to prove President Trump received considerable benefit from foreign governments, particularly China.

CBS reports, "Donald Trump's businesses received at least $7.8 million in payments from foreign governments and government-backed entities from 20 countries while he was in the White House, according to a new report by House Democrats.

"Drawing upon 451 pages of documents received from Trump's longtime accounting firm Mazars and a federal agency, Democratic staffers on the House Oversight Committee on Thursday issued their 156-page report entitled "White House for Sale: How Princes, Prime Ministers, and Premiers Paid Off President Trump."

'The records, the report said, "demonstrate that four Trump-owned properties together collected, at the least, millions of dollars in payments from foreign governments and officials." The Democrats alleged these payments violated what's known as the Constitution's Foreign Emoluments Clause, which prohibits federal officials from accepting gifts or other benefits from foreign countries without congressional approval.

"This report sets forth the records showing foreign government money — and all the spoils from royals we can find — pouring into hotels and buildings that the President continued to own during his presidency, all in direct violation of the Constitutional prohibition," said Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland,"

    U.S. Constitution (Article I, Section 9, Paragraph 8) reads:

No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.

CBS continued, "The majority of foreign payments came from the Chinese government and two state-owned entities. The payments totaled nearly $5.6 million at properties including Trump Tower, and the Trump International Hotels in Washington and Las Vegas, the report found. The bulk of the payments came from the state-owned Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.

On July 19, 2023, Trump told Fox News,“Think of President Xi: central casting, a brilliant guy. You know, when I say he’s brilliant, everyone says, ‘Oh that’s terrible.' Well, he runs 1.4 billion people with an iron fist. Smart, brilliant, everything perfect. There’s nobody in Hollywood like this guy.”

Who is Donald Trump's worst enemy?

    Answer: Donald Trump.

    Geez! He is stupid.

Here's hoping this problem goes away with no drama. Americans have had enough drama, but right wing Republicans in the House are jerks, and they can cause some major damage to the United States.

Why would they want to do that? Because they are jerks.

CNN reports, "House Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer are moving closer to an agreement to set overall funding levels for the federal government, according to congressional sources. But that doesn’t mean a government shutdown will be averted later this month.

"Agreeing on an overall spending level is a key first step in funding the government – and aides to Johnson and Schumer have spent weeks trying to reach a deal on that number.

"But once that number is agreed upon, then Congress will have to either pass funding bills to keep the government open through September or a stop-gap measure known as a continuing resolution to" kick the can down the road again.

The forum's Republicans will continue their silence on the issues.

How far has the Republican Party fallen? Similar to fascist techniques it wants to question a suspect behind closed doors so that it can control the testimony provided. The suspect is our President's son.

Also, they want to impeach the President. Problem for them is, they haven't a clue as to what to impeach him for. Ordinarily, the President does something wrong -- like leading an insurrection -- then he is impeached. Republicans admit they haven't found a reason to impeach.

NBC reports, "House Republicans on the Judiciary and Oversight committees are prepared to move forward with a resolution to hold the president’s son Hunter Biden in contempt of Congress for defying their subpoena to appear for a closed-door deposition.

"Hunter Biden's team and House Republicans are in a showdown over his cooperation with the GOP's wide-ranging impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. The committees' chairmen, Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., and Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, have said they believe that Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings were the result of influence peddling based on his father’s political status. But Republicans have yet to present any hard evidence that the president personally benefited from his son’s businesses.

"The committees had subpoenaed Hunter Biden to appear for a closed-door deposition. Instead of agreeing to the terms of the subpoena, Hunter Biden’s legal team responded that he was willing to answer questions but only in a public setting, arguing that he believed that Republicans would selectively leak or misrepresent his testimony. The committee did not agree to those terms."

In other words,Republicans are afraid to question Hunter out in the open. What are they afraid of?

Yeah, Republicans, including their leader who is facing 91 felony charges within four criminal indictments, have fallen pretty far.

You expect anything else from folks whose main skill is copying and pasting articles they've read in the mainstream media?

Having a discussion would certainly require much more actual thought than that.

Republicans are incapable of responding to the issues in this thread. Two more Republicans just proved that statement. See immediately above.

Aw, two more opportunities to campaign and raise money. Trump's followers are committed to contributing to his legal defense fund. After all, Trump is facing four criminal trials and a fraud trial that could deny him doing business in New York (state of). The billionaire needs help with expenses.

ABC reports, "Former President Donald Trump says he'll be in court Tuesday when the Washington, D.C., Court of Appeals hears arguments over his efforts to dismiss his federal election interference case based on his claim of presidential immunity.

"It could mark the first of two court appearances Trump makes this week, as he's also expected to attend closing arguments in his civil fraud trial in New York on Thursday.

"Trump is seeking the dismissal of the federal election interference case on the grounds that he has "absolute immunity" from prosecution for actions taken while serving in the nation's highest office."

Funny thing about Trump. He creates his own realty. He thinks the Civil War and slavery could have been prevented by negotiation. He says those imprisoned for ransacking our capitol and attacking police are "hostages."

The problem is, his followers, who avoid threads like this one and responsible news sources, believe him. To Trump's followers, truth is what Trump says it is. Unfortunately, Trump, as proven time and time again, is a prolific liar. The insurrection that occurred on Jan. 6, 2021, was caused by his Big Lie, ergo, he won the election.

Trump's base of support comes from the rural counties of the South. https://inthesetimes.com/article/20...ulism-peoples-action-win-rural-america-report

"President Trump famously declared during his 2016 campaign that he loved the “poorly educated” because voters with lower levels of schooling delivered an overwhelming share of votes to him," the conservative Washington Times."

    That explains it.

Trump's followers will continue their silence on the issues.

They want to pick our next President.

Trump thinks the Civil War could have been averted through negotiation. He also says those imprisoned for ransacking our capitol and attacking police are hostages held by the DOJ. Republicans are now averse to impeaching our President. Besides, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is an easier target. The President's son wants to testify in public, and for that Republicans want to cite him for contempt.

Republicans, the party of obstruction, have lost it, and the forum's Republicans remain silent on the the issues! Republicans want to choose our next President.

CNN reports, "House Republicans are plotting to swiftly impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas early this year, as key swing-district Republicans express fresh openness to the idea amid a recent surge of migrant crossings at the southern border.

"The controversial move – to make Mayorkas the first Cabinet secretary impeached in nearly 150 years – amounts to a shift for the House GOP, which had set its sights on potentially impeaching President Joe Biden in early 2024. But with the Biden probe moving methodically and a number of Republicans still skeptical about impeaching the president, senior Republicans now believe targeting Mayorkas will be an easier lift as the border crisis becomes a defining campaign issue. (not an impeachment charge)

"The emerging plan, according to multiple GOP lawmakers and aides, is to run the Mayorkas impeachment effort entirely through the House Homeland Security Committee as opposed to the House Judiciary Committee, where impeachment articles typically originate, though it is not constitutionally required." This is because the House Judiciary Committee has Republicans with some degree of common sense.

    Iowa is a farming state.

    New Hampshire is not.

CNN reports, "Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley has trimmed former President Donald Trump’s lead in the Republican primary race in New Hampshire to single digits, according to a new CNN Poll conducted by the University of New Hampshire.

"Support for Haley has risen 12 percentage points since the last CNN/UNH poll in November, continuing an upward trajectory that began last summer, while her opponents –- including Trump – have seen their numbers remain stable or tick slightly downward since autumn.

"Haley’s support has grown dramatically among those voters registered as undeclared, New Hampshire’s term for independent registrants – she’s up 18 points with this group since November. It has also grown 20 points among those who are ideologically moderate."

Support for Haley is being diverted by Christie.

CNN continued, "Trump still holds a meaningful lead in the poll, with the backing of 39% of likely Republican primary voters in New Hampshire compared to Haley’s 32%. The rest of the field lags far behind in the poll, with former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie at 12%, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy at 8%, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis at 5% and former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson at less than 1%."

It will interesting to see what happens after Christie drops out.

Next up after New Hampshire is Haley's home state where she once was governor, South Carolina.

Trump has pleaded not guilty to the 91 charges he faces across four cases in three states and Washington, D.C. Are Republicans finally going to grow a brain?

Let's hope so. Americans have gotten weary of Trump. "Former President Donald Trump hopes the US economy will crash within the 12 months.

Trump says he hopes the US economy will crash within the next year to avoid being a 'Herbert Hoover'
"When there's a crash, I hope it's going to be during this next 12 months because I don't want a Herbert Hoover," Trump said.

ABC reports, "A three-judge panel on the Washington, D.C., Court of Appeals is weighing arguments presented at today's hearing on former President Donald Trump's efforts to dismiss his federal election interference case based on his claim of presidential immunity."

The chances of that happening are remote. Trump's lawyers were forced to admit their position is untenable. There virtually admitted that Presidents do not have immunity from criminal acts. The only prerequisite is that the President must be impeached first then prosecuted.

CNN reports, "A federal appeals panel expressed deep skepticism Tuesday toward Donald Trump’s argument that he can’t be prosecuted for trying to overturn the 2020 election, raising the potentially extreme implications of absolute presidential immunity.

"Trump’s lawyers argued that his federal election subversion indictment should be dismissed because he is immune from prosecution. But the three judges on the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit panel questioned whether this immunity theory championed by Trump’s lawyers would allow presidents to sell pardons or even assassinate political opponents. (or kill off the competition?)

"Judge Florence Pan, a President Joe Biden nominee, posed some striking hypothetical questions to Sauer, to flesh out the bounds of his immunity argument.

“Could a president order SEAL Team Six to assassinate a political rival? That is an official act, an order to SEAL Team Six?” Pan asked.

“He would have to be, and would speedily be impeached and convicted before the criminal prosecution,” Sauer said.

“I asked you a yes or no question,” Pan said.

“If he were impeached and convicted first,” Sauer replied.

"Pan also peppered Sauer with hypotheticals about whether his immunity theory would also apply to a president selling pardons to criminals or selling military secrets to an enemy state.

"Assistant special counsel James Pearce later picked up on the judges’ line of thinking.

“It would be awfully scary if there weren’t some sort of mechanism” to indict future ex-presidents if they similarly tried to stay in power despite losing an election, Pearce said.

Trump can kiss his Presidential immunity good-bye. Many seriously doubt the Supreme Court will touch this hot potato.

As is customary for them, Republicans will have nothing to say!

Republicans in the House know they are looking like fools.

That is probably why the forum's Republicans avoid their party and their party's leader.

CNN reports, "A pair of Republican-led House committees voted Wednesday evening to approve a report recommending a contempt of Congress resolution against Hunter Biden for his failure to comply with a subpoena.

Hunter Biden wants to appear in public to answer any and all questions the committee has. For this, Republicans are citing him for contempt of Congress???

These same Republicans want a man charged with 91 felonies within four criminal indictments to become our next President.

Little wonder as to why the forum's Republicans avoid their party.

There are serious doubts that Republicans will respond to this report. They haven't yet.

    This is all very strange.

What irony! Republicans avoid Trump but want Americans to make Trump President!

    Screw that!

While Republican candidates for President were busy campaigning in Iowa, the leading Republican candidate was in court.

CNN reports, "Former President Donald Trump went on a conspiracy theory-laden rant at a news conference Thursday after his attorneys wrapped up their closing arguments at his civil fraud trial in New York.

"He peddled the baseless conspiracy theory that President Joe Biden is pulling the strings and personally initiated the civil and criminal cases that he’s facing as a way to undermine Trump’s presidential campaign.

"Trump blamed Biden for his legal troubles, and accused the president of weaponizing law enforcement to block him from returning to the White House."

Many wonder why farmers, rural shopkeepers, and evangelicals trust Trump so much. One can't believe a thing he says.

The answer to the conundrum is that Trump's followers do not know what he said. They don't listen to responsible news sources because, as this thread shows, they choose to avoid reality. If it isn't in The Farm Report, they never hear it.
