Once upon a time, the only organization that weighed in on courts was the American Bar Association, which was, and is still, scrupulously neutral.

But the new right thought politicizing everything and sowing division was their ticket to success.

 

And yet? What does that mean?

Your arguments are a complete non-sequitur to Trump's case. The court should decide Trump's case on the merits and have no connection with how they decided case XYZ.

 

Simply put...apples and donuts analogy. Trump has not been convicted in anything that is related to the immunity that is being talked about, whereas those on death row have already been convicted. Which brings me to the next point...the part in red...No Such Thing Is Being Claimed.

SCOTUS took this up on the shaky premise that their first needs to a law that must be broken, before the “right” in the constitution can be invoked.

SCOTUS basically said, “there was no law broken to invoke the constitution”.
