You say "OK" but actually @Steve N point is THE point regarding illegal aliens. Governments, even totalitarian ones, are limited in what they can actually accomplish, but at a minimum we should expect them to act to prevent foreseeable dangers. They can't stop every murder for example, but they can stop every murder committed by an illegal by preventing them from being here in the first place, or at the least, deporting them when they catch them.

There is simply no reason why we should just expect extra crime and be happy about it.
