Johnson to formally hand Mayorkas impeachment articles to Senate, urges trial 'expeditiously'

If there was ever a candidate for impeachment it's Mayorkas. The guy was either too incompetent to do his job, or was willingly incompetent at doing the job he was supposed to do. On top of all the lies he told to Congress and the American public, he threw his own border agents under the bus when he KNEW they didn't whip illegals but lied about it anyway.

Yeah, the democrats won't do squat about Mayorkas, probably because they're open border types. But Schumer? His home town is being overran with illegals and he probably still won't care until those illegals are camped out on his front porch, and maybe not even then.

 

They didn’t have the votes to impeach Biden, so they’re going after the smaller fish.

This too will fizzle before or immediately after the election.

 

And the Brown Scare trudges on.

 

Johnson said the articles would be delivered on April 10 and wrote :

“We urge you to schedule a trial of the matter expeditiously,”

Schumer responded that Senators would be sworn in as jurors on April 11.

Expeditious enough ?

He didn’t mention that Mayorkas would be acquitted on April 12. Bad form and all that.

Schumer should say "OK"
Then force the house to present an actual case somewhere other than their echo chamber.
Then turn some actual attorneys loose on their "witnesses."

With a perjury conviction on the line I'd be interested in how much and how fast their stories change.

 

Letting criminals, rapists and violent gang bangers into the country is not a joke.

 

What, specifically, is the high crime or misdemeanor? Spoiler alert: I may actually agree with you here, but let's find out.

 

Mayorkas told Congress the border is secure all while he let in criminals, rapists, murderers and probably terrorists, plus the thousands and thousands of illegals who got away. I doubt anyone would call that a secure border.

So long as we agree that, if Trump becomes president again, and breaches public trust again, then that is an impeachable offence. Some on your side claimed that a high crime or misdemeanor has to be in a legislative statute somewhere. I actually agree with you that this isn't required and that the concept was always meant to be far broader than that.

You're not saying he committed any crimes, only that you don't like that he's executing the President's policies.

I like your idea of televising the impeachment. The GOP can show photos of the victims of illegals and get impact statements from their families. They can also show the parades of illegals marching across our border and walking right into this country. They can then play videos of democrat mayors begging for help because they're being overwhelmed by illegals and they could do that to the tune of sympathetic and sorrowful music playing in the background. Finally, they can show pictures of the gang bangers with their face tattoos who committed crimes in this country.

 

I'm glad you admit he's executing Biden's 'open borders - let them all in' policies. Biden is the guy the GOP should be going after.
