Even as a young child, I never worshiped god. I was always confused as to why I should worship something so intent on sending me to hell for eating bologna on a Friday. It always just scared and confused me. I was sure I was going to hell because that's how Catholics taught love when I was in CCD. Commit a sin, go to hell. Unless you redact on your death bed. "All that evil I did? Take backsies on that..... I'm sowwy god." Yeah, not much there to learn from; only confusion.

I have no idea why anyone would worship anyone or anything. Unconditional love with family is as close as I get. Even still, I may love you but it doesn't mean I like you.

Unconditional love for politicians is the most confusing form of worship. It's even worse than worshiping one of the many thousands of gods that men created.

 

I too grew up catholic and did the whole CCD thing and even went to a catholic grade school from 4th to 8th grade. Despite the attempt at brainwashing me to believe in angels I was able to figure out, around 7th grade, that religions and gods were all a farce. There’s a reason they teach religion to us when we are kids…they know how gullible kids are.
I too never understood worshiping politicians. Seems a rather insane thing to do.

 

I dont know, they are a private business and funding that would violate their beliefs. *shrug* that religious freedom, and why it's protected in the Constitution.

If people don't agree, they can refuse the insurance and buy their own or find a different job?

Without some even rudimentary answers to the questions I've asked it is prudent to ignore the claims made in this post.

The Bishop was instructing the flock about how forgiveness is at the heart of true Christianity and urging them to let go of anger and resentment toward others. He used the President as an example, asking the faithful how often they have been angry at Joe Biden. He said that if anyone was harboring anger toward Biden they should confess and be free of it. He then said that he isn't personally angry with Biden... "he's just stupid." He said that Biden "doesn't understand the Catholic faith."'

'Biden — who has embraced a public affiliation with Catholicism while also supporting abortion, gender ideology, and other policies contrary to Church teaching — the bishop said he pities him.'
