No actually, I was referring to our Border Patrol budget specifically, and not Customs and Border Protection expenses. No matter how you slice it, we have more money, more officers, and more sophisticated technology and infrastructure at the border than any other time in our history, with no exceptions

HR2 supports the Border Patrol even more and their Union has endorsed Trump.

This is something to recall when the Republicans say they are against welfare. But for most of them welfare is a great thing for other countries or defense contractors. So what is the return on investment for the American taxpayer for the OP lauded legislation? In the Vietnam war days, the Iraq war days, or the too many to count actions supporting of tin horn dictators around the world, the claim was we were protecting freedom. But surely no one believes that canard any more?
