Other than demonstrating how out-of-touch he is with the sentiments of the students, I can't imagine what he thought would be accomplished by going to Columbia. He and the rest of DC officialdom probably don't realize how much attitudes towards Israel have changed. A poll of students at Columbia indicated about 3/4 supported the protestors. Israel, through its use of hard power, has greatly diminished its soft power.

When and how did Hamas, Palestinians and Muslims gain so much power and influence of America's youth?

Or, when and how did Likud, Israelis and Jews lose so much power and influence of America's youth?

Last October after hearing that Hamas had killed about 1200 Israelis, I thought that the Israelis would probably be enraged enough to kill 12,000 Palestinians in return. They are close to exceeding that by a factor of 3. Not to mention subjecting a couple million Palestinians to the most dire living conditions.

About the same time POS Mike Johnson sold out the country and cares more about foreign borders and people than our own. I mean really, WTF is that clown doing at Columbia??

Good question. I can't imagine what Johnson thought he was going to accomplish at Columbia. I'm not even sure that their President quitting will even do anything.

First, wars are not resolved by killing more of your enemy than they kill of you.

Wars are won by destroying your enemies will/ability to fight.

Second, the HAMAS propaganda machine is winning in much the same way that north Vietnam did in the 1970's.

Third it is important to remember what started this war: the brutal, inhumane slaughter of 1,200 innocent jews through rape, torture and the most horrific murder imaginable.

This is a war to the end. Either Israel or HAMAS will defeat the other. Anything less is the worst possible outcome.

Not really though. Israel treating palestinians like crap for a long time is the root cause. I know, to some extent, terrorists are going to terrorize, and religious fundamentalism plays a role in that. But the next generation of terrorists are the surviving orphans and relatives of today's innocent civilians. Israel is either hurting its long-term prospects, or committing crimes against humanity, or both. And we ought not subsidize it.

They don't. It's more about disgust with Israel's actions. Especially recently, but really, when were they not terrible to palestinians...

Only if Israel is somehow prevented from finishing the war.

And that would be the worst possible outcome.

It's anti-American and pro-communist. That's the agenda academia has been pushing for decades.

These Pro-Hamas folks find out that The Red State Of Texas is a bit different than the Blue Columbia.

WATCH: Texas DPS Shows Up at a Pro-Hamas 'Encampment,' and Beautiful Chaos Follows.

Great Video at the link of the Great State Of Texas making sure our Jewish students are safe on campus from these folks who celebrate and cheer the mass rape and murder of young Jewish women.

'numerous encampments sprung up in the preceding week, including an especially contentious one at Columbia University in New York City. Chants of "Hamas, we love you" and "Globalize the Intifada" have become commonplace. University officials have mostly responded with attempts at appeasement. '

Intifada, that's when they rape and murder young Jewish women. Might be going over in Columbia, but not so much in Texas.

'Extremists part of the @Columbia CHAZ-style occupation chant support for Hamas terror:

“Al-Qassam, you make us proud, take another soldier out”
“We say justice, you say how? Burn Tel Aviv to the ground”
“Hamas, we love you. We support your rockets too”

The lying fake news folks claim they are anti-war, but it sounds to me like they are just for murdering and raping young Jewish women.

'Intimidation tactics by pro-Hamas supporters may work at Ivy League schools because their blue-haired faculties are too scared to react (or are outright supportive), but they don't play these games further south. There's a reason you haven't seen any of this insanity in Florida either, and when it was attempted, the consequences were severe. '

Smart States are nipping this in the bud. Make the arrests, have the non-Soros prosecutors bring charges before fair and unbiased juries, and where the rights of others were violated, these Red State Juries will hand down the guilty verdicts and the Red State judges will level just consequences.

When you "mow the lawn", after a while you have to do it again.

    Don't Hire These Grads

THE IVY LEAGUE’S REPUTATION IS TAKING A HIT: Ivy League grads risk losing prized jobs for schools allowing antisemitic protests to fester: Wall Street honchos.

You want to pay top dollar to have these trouble makers on payroll?

Justified as in the right thing to do? Hard no. Expected when people are treated like trash? Yes.

Had Israel acted morally, there would be disgust with Hamas more than disgust at Israel. But a difference is Hamas is not our ally. Their actions don’t reflect poorly on us. Israel’s do. And Israel’s actions are far more impactful than what Hamas can do. October 7th was like a worst case scenario. Normally Hamas is pathetically impotent.

The expression is used by Israeli leadership to refer to their periodic military actions to decapitate Hamas leadership and decimate their military units. The following is from the article in the link above:

Wait! So are you agreeing that describing the deaths of 10s of thousands, including over 13000 children, as "mowing the lawn" is sick?

    Israel leaves Palestine entirely.
    Realistic borders must be created.
Jerusalem split off as an independent state.

If Hamas attacks after that then their total annihilation is justified and I'd bet Palestinians would join the fight.

    Acted morally.......
Might look that way from up there on your high moral ground but from down here among us minions we saw a brutal horrific attack that went far beyond the goal of retalliation for whatever bad treatment the terrorists felt they had to get revenge for.

This is a war, not some business dispute or diplomatic issue to be resolved around a table over crumpets and tea.

It is a war to the bitter end and either Israel or HAMAS will cease to exist if this thing is allowed to play out.

Which, in my opinion, must be allowed to play out. The only solution to peace is the eradication of one of the combatants.

Because HAMAS has also declared its intent to see DEATH TO AMERICA my money is backing Israel.
