If Bush Junior had removed his occupying forces from the cities of Mecca and Medina when Bin Laden asked him to do so the Twin Towers would still be standing, over 3000 people would still be alive, and there would be no wars raging in the middle-east. I believe that Bush, Junior's refusall to act on Bin Ladens request is the primary and singular cause of the 9/11 attacks.

I certainly agree with at least part of that. On top of that there is incessant support for Israel, the toppling of democratically elected governments in the middle east and US support for Arab dictatorships.

they mostly attack countries that have soldiers in the middle east!

I wish you americans would stop listening to the propaganda on your biased networks......,most people "OUTSIDE" the US know exactly why 9/11 happened....leave them alone and they will do the same!

I've always thought that the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were justified from a tactical standpoint.

I did not and still don't support the invasion of Iraq. Does that make the US mass-murderers? Not in the commonly accepted definition of the term. I do think the war was one of aggression so therefore a Crime Against Humanity within the definition of that term.

I can't stand CNN. I listen to the propaganda on BBC :)

There were never any troops in Mecca or Medina and Bin Laden never made the request to leave Saudi Arabia to Bush, it was to Clinton before him.

I think you're projecting your own feelings to the rest of us Canucks and/or extrapolating opinions on US foreign policy to all Americans.

Canadians visit the US more than any other country and I don't know anyone up here who can't count at least one American as a friend.

Having said that we have bigots just like every other country who think Americans are arrogant, French are rude and all Muslims are terrorists.

Lol, most merchants don't like any tourists! The rudest I've ever seen a tourist was a Canadian in Phnom Penh trying to screw a Tuk-tuk driver over a fare. Second rudest was a Canadian girl in Luang Prubang being way to aggressive with a market vendor. I've seen a Korean tourist hit a bus driver with a shoe in Macao (wasn't driving fast enough) and a Chinese tourist slap a female Air China gate agent in Macao (airport fogged in and somehow it was her fault).

We really need to look in the mirror before we start calling other people rude. There are rude people from every country but somehow travel brings out the worst in some people but certainly Americans don't have the market cornered on bad behavior overseas.

That's great that you served! Now, are you saying that because you were actually fighting the war that you know exactly why the US pulled out, and that you KNOW that the US lost? Is that what you are saying? Really?

Tell, me what battle we lost in Vietnam? And, what happens when congress cuts off funding for a war? Does that mean the US soldiers lost the war?

you are talking isolated cases....I have some too......one american loser in Madrid was upset that his coffee was cold and started shouting really loud " AMERICA SHOULD NUKE SPAIN" can you imagine the look he got from the locals? In Manila another american loser starts calling every filipina LBFM right to their face.....I can go on LOL :)

True - my point is that some Canadians have this impression that we're universally loved overseas and Americans universally despised. Neither generalization is true. I hang around travel forums a lot and whenever someone does a list of 'the best and worst tourists' I cringe because we're quite often no where near the top.

Yikes! That's a bit over the top.

Which includes most all the nations of the middle east. They despise their own governments as much as they despise the US. We are their far enemy, they are the near. Their near enemy opens a can of whoop ass on them whenever they attempt to attack the ruling governments, but frequently turn a blind eye to them whenever they are attempting to attack the far enemy, in order to appease the islamic fundamentalist in their populations.

No I am not. You do not have to be a Muslim to detest occupying forces.

Facts? No I love facts, and use them always. I just don't like site where it has been proven that:

"Disputed historical and political events are often influenced by the Wikipedia contributor's ideology, even if done so unintentionally."

    That's all.

So do you recognize that your government has done tremendous evil in the world?
