Turkey's prime minister has said Turkish warships will escort Turkish Gaza-bound aid ships in the future. Just try it http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/n.php?n=ankara-turkey-2011-09-09
I know the USA wouldn't have put up with Russia expelling US diplomats and surging warships into the North Atlantic. Turkey is engaging in an act of war if they try to run the blockade with armed vessels.
turkey needs to be taught a lesson , US and EU wake up turkey is not a democratic country and it never will be they have too much blood on their hands and until today kurds suffer cos of them like the recent killing of 7 civilian kurds in "Iraqi autonomous kurdistan" from the same family including 5 kids .
ahaha Barzani has nothing to do with PKK you lost kido . imagine the PKK armed with heavy weaponry and an uprising in north kurdistan , all hell will break lose , 20 million kurds will rise and gain their freedom with force since turkey does not believe in peace and dialog . eventually turkey has to be kicked out of NATO as they have proved to be helpless anyway like in liberation of Libya and iraq not only helpless but they were totally against it as they knew it will one day come back and bite them right in the ass . turkeu is trying to avoid solving the kurdish issue by creating fuss over nothing but little they know they will fail as they always have since 1923 .
Alan, did you read the thread Turkey's role on Establishing Iraqi Kurdistan? And please also examine the Libyan operation. Turkey played an important role. Aside from that, operational forces of NATO over all the middle east is based on Turkey, and nothing else.
Barzani has nothing to do with Pkk? That was the best joke I have ever seen in a while. This forum is bull(*)(*)(*)(*).Its useless trying to reason and discuss with these trolls.
KDP has, indeed, nothing to do with PKK. It was PUK that supported PKK, you know the Kurdish political players right?
You were living in Alaska in the last 20 years? That answer makes me suspect of the nick you have there.Even Talabani said "we wont give a kurdish cat to you" when Turkey demanded the return of terrorists from northern iraq to Turkey. Where is Pkk located in? Remote mountains of northern iraq and who claims to have the control of that region? The regional puppet goverment thats run by barzani and his tribe. So a terrorist organization makes attacks to Iraqs neighbour s Iran,Turkey using northern iraq as base and the regional authority who is responsible of the control of the place wont have anything to do with it? The political offices, treatment of terrorists in the hospitals of erbil, how do they get logistic support? Which roads they use? In the past, even shots were fired to Turkish troops back in 1990s from the peshmerge outposts of Barzani. From whom Barzani got all the money to fight with Pkk? Turkish goverments of the past. But he only did it once. What more proof you ask for? You dont know what are you talking about here.Come back to real world. If you are really Turkish.
Am I really a Turkish? Do you really want to question my ethnicity? I am an ethnic Turk. I even attended the genographic project of National Geographic to prove my DNA. How about you? Are you a Turk by blood? Are you really sure about that? KRG is responsible for the existance of PKK in the region. No question about that. Though Turkey hardly controls her mountains too, so think about it. Turkey has supported KDP from the beginning. That's why I call it a good old friendship. But the Turkish nationalists are not cool with it, which is also okay.
Kdp,Puk,this that doesnt matter.Barzani was never and will never be Turkey's friend. He just does and always did what his masters told him to do.Whole world knows it.No need to get lost in details. You dont have to be a nationalist either to figure out Barzani is a tool and he is not trustworthy.Good old friends LoL.Sounds like a fairy tale.If you think Barzani is Turkey's friend, vote for Bdp too. That only makes you sound like a kurd.Sorry but thats the reality.
You think that Barzani is not a friend of Turkey, doesn't necessarily mean that the Turkish state also thinks the same. In fact the state thinks quite the opposite. That's why Turkey supports the region economically -unlike Armenia or South Cyprus. Your reasoning is no better than an uneducated Turkish villager who has no idea about international studies. No country is a single body. The difference between KDP and PUK does matter. Just like the Republicans and Democrats of the US, and AKP and CHP and MHP of Turkey. They are all political actors that are well worth to examine. And I don't vote for anybody. I am more of an observer. Not a side taker. That's why I sound like a Kurd to nationalistic Turks, and a Turk to nationalistic Kurds.
Erdogan came to Erbil capital of kurdistan and stood next to our kurdish flag , so chucky go find a brick wall and hit your head on it . and if you think Barzani is PKK then you must be a lost kido who points fingers at anyone to satisfy his personal racism . good luck with that lol . Barzani is an elected president by kurdish people and he is protecting kurds from harm and he will be re-elected again for 2nd round of presidency . long live Barzani .
If I am a racist you are even a bigger racist than me.By the way there is no such thing as a race scientificaly. Its just a term to brainwash fools like you. Go tell your fairy tales to the kids in kindergarden. You restless troll.

Jaysus! How to hijack a thread in one fell swoop! This is not a discussion about the Kurds, or Barzani - can we get back to discussing the issue raised in the OP? I have no particular brief for Turkey, nor for their denial of the Armenian massacres, but I think Turkey has every legal right to protect its maritime assets on the high seas by means of its navy. It also has every moral right to protect the delivery of humanitarian aid carried out by its nationals, not to mention the lives of those nationals.
There is not anything called armenian genocide. Its something your country england invented after world war 1
