I did not use the term 'genocide' but massacre, which is what occurred. Others have not been so punctilious.

    http://www.umd.umich.edu/dept/armenian/facts/genocide.html

However, none of that diminishes the right of Turkey to protect its maritime assets and its people, by the use of military force if necessary. Which is the matter under discussion.

turks have hurt nations surrounding it alot from massacre to genocides , kurds greeks armenians and what not , arent you worried turkey one day revenge will sweep you off your feet by these guys ?

a new alliance of greek-kurd-armenian is needed to achieve their main goals and get turkey to apologize and compensate for there brutal actions towards them . time will come like it did with the dictators of the arab world who been ruling for 20+ years . time will come .

Kurdistan President Orders Arrest of Shooting Suspects

    28/08/2011 12:46

ERBIL, Iraqi Kurdistan -- Iraqi Kurdistan Region President Massoud Barzani has ordered the region’s courts to pursue suspects accused of shooting protesters in Sulaimani province last spring.

The presidential decree, coupled with a decision to restore government funding for opposition parties, meet key demands of opposition groups who said the initiatives could help renew stalled talks with the ruling parties.

During anti-corruption protests last spring, several people were killed and injured by the region’s security forces and guards at the office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), which Barzani leads.

Signed by Barzani last week, the decree states that individuals who are wanted by the courts for shooting protesters must be handed over to the justice system.

Kurdistan’s three opposition parties, the Change Movement (Gorran), the Islamic League and the Islamic Union, suspended negotiations with the KDP and the Patriotic Union Kurdistan (PUK) in July over claims that the ruling parties did not meet their demands, including arresting the shooting suspects and renewing funding for opposition parties. The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) cut funds for the three opposition parties, which are largely dependent on government funding, at the outset of the protests.

Barzani has asked the government to release funding for the parties.

However, the spokesperson for Kurdistan Islamic League (Komal), said his party doesn’t have to be grateful to anyone for the release of their budget, “We accept favors from no one for our budget, because this case has been decided by the court already,”

“The Kurdistan Region President’s decree meets the opposition’s demand, leaving the opposition with no reason to boycott the five-party talks,” he said.

The presidential decree reads, “No party or person has the right to protect any individual wanted by the courts, or they will face the legal consequences. The Council of Ministers and the concerned parties must carry out this decree from the date of its issuance.”

“The detainees must have a lawyer at the time of the interrogation. His/her relatives must be informed about his/her arrest. Those who have criminal charges against them must be handed over to specialized courts within 24 hours to process their cases,” the order states.

According to Salah Dalo, a senior KDP official, PUK and KDP leaders jointly decided to meet the opposition’s demands. Dalo said the best way to solve issues between the government and the opposition is to resume talks.

would you call a conflict between a giant whale and a single piranha a war?

If she has to- Turkey will swallow Israel. compare the ground forces, compare the navy, they are no match to us. only the airforce is balanced but still, our acceptance of death as a walk in the park will give us the edge to win for sure.
btw, even if they throw nukes, how much a nuke kills? 10 million, 20 million? oh dont worry, there is 60 million more of us :) we are the chinese of Europe, someone will be keep coming and coming and coming and coming.

    BRING IT ON ISRAEL

I am glad you mentioned this.

I was having another conversation with someone here (not public) few days ago and tried to explain that Muslims do not fear death as non Muslims do.
If we are fighting aggressor and doing right and moral thing when being attacked then we have no fear at all.

But does the oppression of the Palestinians help that situation in any way? The more peoples who are free of colonialism, the more ridiculous that condition will come to seem.
