Flash Mob Shoplifts at Silver Spring 7-Eleven

50 shoplifters hit 7-Eleven at once



About 50 people simultaneously shoplifted from a Silver Spring, Md., 7-Eleven Saturday night.

Officers arriving at the store in the 12200 block of Tech Road after 11:20 p.m. saw several people gathered in surrounding parking lots and on side streets, police said. They began to disperse when police arrived.

The shoplifters -- described as teens and young adults -- took items including snacks and drinks, police said

Police stopped a group of six people ages 16-18 near Tech Road and Broadbirch Drive. Each had items from the 7-Eleven but no receipts, police said.

Detectives are investigating whether the shoplifters had attended a birthday party in the area, police said.

I wish they would stop calling them flash-mobs.

A flash mob is a group who perform a "pointless" (according to the Oxford Online Dictionary) act, then disperse. Originally it was supposed to be a humorous version of performance art.

The "flash mobs" comprised of "youths" are anything but pointless or humorous. It's another way of being politically correct and not calling blacks "rioters" or "looters".

 

How come they are all black ? Is that like the most amazing coincidence of randomness !! Wooooot !!

The odds on that are so long, it can never happen again !

Sort of goes back to what I said in another thread as to what has happened to the moral fiber of people. I can't believe the change there there is now compared to what it used to be back in the 40's and 50's.

The New Black Panther party, which Obama has had ties with, is successfully riling up blacks. The more exposure they get as a group, the more stories like this we will hear.

 

Wow, didn't take this thread long to turn into a tirade against black people. The real question in my mind is that if they can organize that many people why don't they rob something more reasonable? I mean really what is at 7-11 that's so cool? Are people that into Slurpees and farmville? I mean I guess there's beer, but you could hit a liquor store and get way more booze.

Well they didn't here. Seems like a waste of possibly getting arrested. If you're going to be a criminal atleast commit a crime worth commiting. You'll end up in jail whether you stole a twinkie or a box of jack.

 

If these flash mobs weren't exclusively black, I would be more hesitant to make my previous statements.

They are doing this mostly to send a message. And to get some free snacks.

The 7-11 by my all-white Catholic high school had the exact same problem 40 years ago!
