We are talking about Alan Greenspan now. You can join a discussion like anyone else or you can troll which shall it be? Noah's arc has nothing to do with the FED. Are you going to follow the TOS?
i'm following tos and i've already shown that greenspan often makes erroneous comments i didn't say noah's ark had anything to do with the fed, i demonstrated that griffin has no credibility and if you insist on citing his discredited book 'the creature from jekyll island', then you don't either you replied to post #371, which mentions the book about noah's ark but if you're referring to 'the creature from jekyll island', it says that the aldrich plan is the same as the glass-owen bill, which i've already shown to be false if you'd like to see where qualified authorities have debunked griffin's book, here's a link to an article that does so, it also provides links that detail griffin's lies http://crooksandliars.com/david-neiwert/predicted-beck-goes-full-bore-birche "The Creature from Jekyll Island is in many ways a compendium of previous works claiming that the Federal Reserve is a fundamentally illegitimate -- and therefore deeply nefarious -- organization. Most of these theories were deeply anti-Semitic in nature, since they depicted the Fed's bankers as part of a Jewish cabal intent on destroying white American society. What sets Griffin's work apart is that -- like most Birch texts, which assiduously avoided anti-Semitism -- he manages to scrub out the anti-Semitic elements while keeping the paranoid conspiracist elements intact. Since its publication in 1994, Griffin's book has become a popular text for a large number of right-wing extremists, particularly tax protesters and Patriot movement believers. Griffin himself was involved in organizing a gathering on Jekyll Island last year that the Southern Poverty Law Center credits with helping revive the militia movement. It has been debunked thoroughly, of course -- probably most notably by historian Gerry Rough, whose three-part series on the origins of the Fed, "Another Twist on the Jacksonian Bank War," pretty thoroughly reveal just how fraudulent Griffin's text really is. You can read it here: Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3.
actually the false claim is your claim that his book states the two bills are the same. you should have just said that you weren't able to do so, and I would have let it go at that.
i've read the book and even know where griffin got much of the material for it griffin says that the aldrich plan only got a name change and was then passed as the federal reserve act if you compare 'the crearure from jekyll island' to mullins' book 'the london connection', you'll see that he writes: "The Republicans were committed to the Aldrich Plan, which had been denounced as a Wall Street plan, and the Democrats had the Federal Reserve Act. Neither party bothered to inform the public that the bills were almost identical except for the names." from page 18 i already did it and pointed to others that have thoroughly debunked griffin and mullins
which they are, only he Fed Reserve act cedes more oversight to the banks. You can go back to sleep now Kruggy.
no, the aldrich plan is much different from the federal reserve act, it took years of negotiations and amendments to work out the final legislation face it, g edward griffin is just a peddler of conspiracy theories to the gullible
Because he uses primary sources in CFJI. It's called real researching, something you're obviously incapable of doing.
you're 100% wrong, i posted links to the debunking g edward griffin is a fraud, it has been demonstrated over and over again what a joke, i've been reading, researching and studying this subject for longer than you've been alive you weren't even aware of griffin's other duplicitous works
You haven't shown anything to be false. This is probably the third or fourth time I've asked you this. Where in CFJI does Griffin claim that the Aldrich Plan and Glass-Owen bill are identical? I specifically recall a section describing the differences between Glass-Owen and the Aldrich Plan, as a matter of fact. The burden of proof is on you...now cough it up, or stop trolling. Already a biased review. "Manages to scrub out the anti-Semitic elements"? What does that even mean? Lame attempt to discredit the author. Who is Gerry Rough? What are his credentials? I can't find anything about him on the Internet. Part I of his "debunking" of CFJI says that Griffin's sources are falsely cited. I've got CFJI in front of me and it does not make the citation error he claims, so I'm just going to assume he is lying right off the bat. Your source is already uncredible. The rest of his "debunking" is based around taking Griffin's quotes out of context. He claims bank lobbying is a conspiracy theory not grounded in reality, which is hopelessly naive. He demonstrates a misunderstanding of the free market and Austrian economics.
less federal oversight. By the way, would you care to "debunk" something of significance concerning the many points in his book, or will you fondle yourself all night obsessing over the word "almost" ?
that's almost as good as being able to talk about the subject matter of the book,............well "almost".
I don't believe that for one second. If you have been researching and studying this subject for a long time, then you would be capable of defending your positions, which you haven't. You have instead resorted to strawman tactics and providing links to Internet people who claim to be historians that lie and distort about Griffin's book.
your post makes me question whether you understand the english language much is the opposite of barely
are you gonna dork around with the word "almost" all night or are you actually gonna refute something ?
i've already refuted griffin's characterization of the federal reserve act being the same as the aldrich plan, but you act as if you're blind to reality what a laugh, edward flaherty is a phd economist and gerry rough is a historian/ct specialist griffin's background is child actor, speech/communications student, radio announcer and speech writer for george wallace, you probably don't know much about wallace either, do you?
is there anything else you'd care to refute ? THe book has several hundred pages. Your obsession with one sentence and the word "almost" is stale.
again, i've already shown that griffin is a fraud, his books, film and etc have been abundantly debunked over the decades, i don't see any need to reinvent the wheel, because you won't look at the criticisms of his book
