I agree with Paul on many issues, but his overall foreign policy makes him unelectable to me. I don't believe we need to sever ties to our allies and not stop a Hitler Germany, if one were to spring up somewhere in the world.

True, but our entitlements are what will completely bankrupt the nation, not our military spending.

 

And, if Hitler didn't declare war on the US, we wouldn't have gone after him? He would have taken over all of Europe and beyond, but as long as he didn't go after the US, it wouldn't have been our place to get involved? I can't support an idea like that.

Actually, we could probably topple Ahmidinejad's regime without a full scale invasion. It would probably be easy, going by your glowing and rosy picture of the Iranian people, who hate their Government so much, and just want a way out of the madness.

The biggest threat I see is from Islamic fundamentalism. The Arab spring incidents are being reported by our liberal media as "democracy movements", but the power void that exists is filling up with Sharia law and a push for a worldwide caliphate to reform.

 

This doesn't make sense. If the US military was not going to get involved in Europe during WW2, how would concerned citizens be able to do anything?

Not practical. The bottom line here is that, going by Ron Paul's standards, if Germany wouldn't have formally declared war on us, we wouldn't have gotten involved in Europe during WWII and we would have probably lost that war. Looking back, it's scary to see so many instances where the Axis forces would have won, if only a couple of different decisions were made.

 

War is sometimes necessary.

I just want to see a video of some kindof community meeting or want to see the police / local government trying to communicate. Why isn't the government contacting the heads of Mosque's or any social organization that might help answer some questions?

They can tell the community leaders about the problem, ask why it could possibly happen, and find any solution. If the local government does so, then they show atleast a little initiative and care. The worst thing that can happen is a video of one of the meetings landing on youtube showing the parents of the 'youths' screaming all sorts of abuse at the government representatives. At least then it shows the muslim community isn't co-operating.

 

The US was the catalyst in helping the Allies win.
