Hey ! Been off-line and busy. Took a lightening strike on the house Thursday night. Fried a modem, my lawn sprinkler system, some light-bulbs blew ... and part of a computer that I had just repaired ! Without power most of that night. That, and I had a business meeting in Daytona yesterday, but was also able to meet friends for dinner there. Trying to get things in order again here now. Got a new modem, but fixing that computer may take more time, as the power surge went through the ethernet cable. Hopefully I can be all caught up in a few days :) Take care ..... 82

As things unfold this Fall. and it should be quite the show, there is one aspect of the lame-duck Congress that will loom large on election night. I have spoken of it a couple times, and you will see it more in Forum as the day nears. There is fear that a lame-duck Congress will go Dem-crazy in those couple of months. It might. However, there are special-election Dem seats being filled, and those are sworn-in as soon as the results are certified, and not at the end of the expiring term in Jan. Low and behold, those seats are Biden's in DE (a solid Republican favorite now), and Obama's in IL, where a Repub is favored slightly. Should at least one of those Repubs prevail, it helps add to the filibuster buffer that would stimy Bobo until more Repubs are sworn-in in January. So keep that knowledge in-mind, and share it when appropriate.

My day was great! Went to Eureka Springs with a good friend, we ate and did a little shopping, then ate some more, then came home to get out of the heat. She also made me an awesome chocolate cake.

I have been doing an estate sale for my friend. They have no internet so I am robbing off the business next door. I tried getting on the other day but it was the weekend and I just couldn't. I will be down because I am going back to Brian in Olympia. My internet will be on by Friday the 13th..ugh. It's a good thing I am not superstitious..LOL.
