I'm posting in response to this comment:

"I don't think I can accept a friend request from you. I am wary of the stylized swastika. This symbol is almost universally perceived as representing racial bigotry. I'm sorry if this is not your belief, but I will not associate myself in any way with the misguided practices of racial cleansing that the symbol is seen to promote."

If by universally you mean "The West," then yeah. But even there people are waking up to the real meaning of the swastika as an ancient symbol of peace and prosperity. It is not a Swastika, its called the "Altika," which was the symbol of an ancient Indic religion on which we base some of our principles: like universal interest.

The Swastika, the actual symbol, only has racial connotations when representing a corresponding ideology. In Hinduism it is the equivalent of the Christian crucifix and has been used for thousands of years before Germany, Nazism, or even Nationalism even existed.

Ironically, you think you have refused a friendship out of racial tolerance, when really you have refused a friendship out of more of the same bigotry, prejudice, and judging by mere appearance, that has led to misguided perceptions like racism.
