I saw the video on CNN of the 18 year old kid who turned in his father -- not because of attending the riots, but for telling his kids that he would shoot them if they were traitors. You could see the kid struggling on TV with how hard that decision must have been. Truly terrible of a parent to put your kids in such a position. For what? Love of Trump over love of one's own children? It seems like the dad had self-radicalized for quite some time.

You are comparing a single isolated act of self defense by one person who was arrested and sidelined, with perpetual acts of violence by numberless people who were arrested and then freed to return to the anarchy and violence. BTW, these were from the same mob that the young man had to defend himself against. Not to mention that the media essentially excused the never ending mob violence while condemning the one teen who resisted. First and last was the violent mob.

But back to the subject. In general, we saw very little reaction out of democrats in general when the democratically controlled cities were being tore apart by BLM associated riots. And they have tended to denigrate the police.

In comparison, there were orders of magnitude fewer deaths and less destruction in the Capitol and suddenly the democrats, in general, are outraged. However, most republicans are outraged by the death and destruction in the Capitol AND THE death and destruction in the democratically controlled cities.

 

Who is guilty of anything but for the videos of the matter and the conduct of those therein? You have seen them. Judge for yourself. The conduct of the teen to that of the mobs is a pound to an immeasurable mass. But you dismiss the gravitas because you cannot budge the greater mass, but judge the heft of a pound to be equal to it. And more the import by its exactness and ease. So you take the easiest path and run away with the truth like a common looter.

 

So, there has been no trial and he has not been found innocent by self defense.
