"A woman attending a town hall hosted by Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez interrupted the proceedings to demand that people “start eating babies” in response to climate change."

She also had a new campaign slogan for AOC:
"So, I think your next campaign slogan has to be this, we have to start eating babies. We do not have enough time. There’s too much CO2. All of you, you are polluting. Too much CO2. We have to start now. Please, you’re so great. I’m so happy that you are really supporting new green deal. But it is not enough. Even if we bomb Russia, we have too many people, too much pollution. So we have to get rid of the babies. That is the big problem. Just stopping having babies is not enough. We need to eat the babies. Please give a response."

Well you clearly could make it up. It wouldn’t be at all difficult to have someone turn up at a public meeting and make some crazy rant to generate negative soft-news coverage for a political opponent.

Alternatively, it’s just a mentally ill individual, probably failed by a generational lack of interest in mental health care by any politicians, and so shouldn’t reflect in any way on the speaker or her voters.

Of course, you’re smart enough to know all that, you just don’t care. It’s the politics of win at all costs. You’ve all forgotten what the purpose of the system actually is (which is why there has been the abject failure in mental health care, among countless other difficult issues).

There is not compromise @Sobo. They aren't looking to cleanup the atmosphere. They can't. However, if they start taking more of your money, they can claim they need more because it's not enough to stop global warming. I guess they'll use some to pay subsidies for India and China, otherwise they won't make any effort. It's what we do in the U.S. We pay extorsion fees. We just call them by another name. I never saw a nation whose government was so greedy they laundered money through places like IIE and the Green New Deal to get rich. Look at Bernie Sanders, for instance. He has never had a job to my knowledge. He's always been a senator and he's now wealthy. The government is corrupt. There aren't enough fingers to point at them all.

No, it isn't, but those who are as nutty as the woman suggesting we eat babies are generally users of drugs that changed their brain functions. AOC is likely to have done some of that stuff, but she also knows how much money can be laundered to her through the Green New Deal.
