Debate moderator, Chris Wallace, says they used an honor system in which candidates and their parties were tested prior to the function. The article goes on to say that they wouldn't have had time for everyone to be tested on-site and get results back before the debate began.

It might be that someone was in the incubation stage and received a false negative. So far, I haven't seen any reports on other White House staff that might be infected. I hope they were able to contain it by the self-quarantining after Hicks tested positive.

    What do you think?

I wish him, FLOTUS and everyone impacted by this well. I really do, but I have to agree with you. He could have set a strong tone about wearing masks and lead the country by example. He chose not to do that.

Was this a mistake by the doc?

"President Trump is doing “very well” as he undergoes treatment for the coronavirus, according to the White House doctor, but he declined to provide nearly any specifics and raised new questions by saying the president is 72 hours into his diagnosis.

Indeed, the doctor, White House physician Dr. Sean Conley, raised more questions than he answered by saying the president is “72 hours into” his diagnosis. The White House told reporters at around 1 a.m. on Friday morning that the president had tested positive for the virus, just 35 hours before the briefing.

Dr. Conley also declined to answer specifics when repeatedly asked about whether Mr. Trump had been administered oxygen, initially saying over and over that he was not on any at this moment. Finally, he said, “Thursday no oxygen. None at this moment and yesterday with the team, while we were all here, he was not on oxygen.”

If that is correct how can Trump going to a fundraiser after being diagnosed be anything other than reckless endangerment of the participants by Capt. Clorox?

It certainly brings into question EXACTLY when the president first tested positive for COVID ??

I don't believe it was a slip-up when the doctor said "72 hours". My best guess is the POTUS was tested as soon as Hick's case was confirmed. They just didn't inform anybody until late night/early morning Friday when Trump tweeted.

I read an article this morning that said he was on oxygen briefly before being taken to the hospital but hasn't been on it since being admitted to the hospital.

I'm not surprised of the idea that he may have continued events despite knowing he was (or might be) infected. He has been reckless since it first entered the country and, until yesterday, there has been one photo of him donning a mask (and that one looked like a photo op).

I agree that this doesn't sound like a slip up at all. The fact that Trump was already talking about going into quarantine the minute it was announced that Hope Hicks tested positive sounds completely out of character for Trump.

This would mean he attended that Minnesota fundraiser and campaign event at the airport with NO MASK already aware that he was infected.

    What a creep!

The best way to fight a virus is to meet it head on. They could Trump's plasma cells to create a universal vaccine.
