You've still not pointed to a "real news" source. What do you consider "real news"? CNN? The same CNN that kept claiming people like Joe Rogan was taking horse De-wormer? Or the same CNN that emphatically supported, unabashed, the Steel Dossier? The same CNN that accused a 16 year boy of being a white supremacist while also editing video to put a spin on the "news"? The same CNN that praised Michael Avenatti (Stelter still has a chub for the man)? Maybe the Michael Cohen lead that CNN ran as evidence only to show again they lied and even ended up outing their own source, Lenny Davis? How about the story they ran stating Scaramucci was under an active investigation by congress for alleged ties to Russia, later forced to retract?

Because a news source supports your radical agenda does not mean it's real or even truth. I know Fox is biased, hence why I refuse to take as claims verbatim. CNN and MSNBC, however, has shown that they are willing to blatantly lie.

And mind you, CNN used to a great news source, I used to watch them all the time even with the right claimed they were the Clinton News Network. They were at least moderate then.

You rely on bias to educate yourself. I consume every piece and discern an opinion based up all the information I digest as much is full of half truths. I watch/read CNN/MSNBC (need to know what lie is being presented today), Mother jones, Breitbart, Fox, Drudge, Daily Beast, RT, NPR, BBC, Sky News, Hurriyet Daily, Israelis Times, Japan Times. These are just the ones I visit daily.

No, I relied on my education to educate me. Because of my peculiar history, I am not far from degrees in history, philosophy, and math. I graduated in 74, but took some more classes in the 80s.

That is not bad, but I would suggest a few magazines and books. I mentioned the Atlantic, I subscribe to Foreign Affairs, SciAm and something else.

Which is hardly enough, I always keep books coming. I am currently enjoying the memoir by the former diplomat Marie Yovanovitch. She became famous briefly when Trump fired her. The book is very good.

I am also reading, slowly, a couple history books, What Hath God Wrought, which won the Pulitzer and is amazing. And then there is Rise and Fall of American Growth. He's a pessimist, but events seem to be supporting his thesis. In any case, it's terrific.

So, suggestion time.

Cities and the Wealth of Nations, was called a classic before it was even published. It's short, easy to read, doesn't have any numbers, and was used as a first book in Econ 101 classes for a while. There's nothing political about it.

Foreign Affairs Quarterly, it's the Readers Digest of foreign affairs. That's not to say anything against it, it's best of it's type for the general public. I should have gotten it instead of Foreign Affairs. There was a sale on, and well, I can be impulsive.

It took me a long time to 'grow up' enough to avoid a lot of mistakes. I made a lot of them when I was younger.

Edit, one of those mistakes was when I did a little volunteer work for the ERA.
