    1st the more important one..CPAC..all the betting money was On Santorum fresh off his 2 BIG wins this week.
    I wonder..was there no Evangelical church across the street ?

    You need 3 legs of that stool to win The Republican nomination.
    Santorum is strong on 2 weak on 1.

    He is the ultra right conservative values guy on RELIGION hands down. He wins that leg..

    Morals ?
    Romney lives them personally and professionally and newt doesn't and Santorum to a lesser extent. Corruption and legal issues DOG the far right guys more than Romney.
    So Romney is 2nd best..newt last.

    Paul..who knows..he just blows off allegations as he didn't know anything..Just like his foreign policy..More on that later.
    NEUTRAL vote for Paul on morals.

    Military Leg.
    Santorum..newt and Romney dont scare me ...Paul does.
    To win a REPUBLICAN NOMINATION you need to be for the strongest military possible..not the one saying you're sorry for policies 30 years ago..we have that now. Paul loses HUGE and on this one LEG alone.

    Financial Leg.. The one that started out as the most important before the Evangelical's hi jacked the conversation.Home foreclosures.. layoffs..right to work..gas prices..
    Romney has the only winning record of any of them.
    NO one can deny successes that he had..Paul can talk till the moon turns BLUE ..but he never created wealth..he just talks about how not to spend it..You need to make it first..

    Conservatives at CPAC understand this stuff..better than the casual voter being led by his faith..

    MAINE..
    How does any serious candidate for President not get 500 votes ?
    or 1,000 votes ?
    Newt and Santorum away from the church cant get 1,000 votes in a state ?
    Only in states where the RELIGIOUS LEG was most important do they do well.This was a week long vote..not 1 hour like MN where the church can pack a caucus.People saw what happened in those 2 states..and they didn't vote for the moral leg..they voted for the FINANCIAL LEG.

    You see you follow your heart on matters of morality and love..often to perilous places..( see OBAMA )..you Get FIRED UP and throw caution out the window.( Remember your 1st love ? )

    Do you remember your friends and parents warning you to THINK about what you are doing ? BORING ..uncool..sooo old..

    Matters of the MIND are often hard to fall in love with.
    Romney is that guy..Like putting money aside for a rainy day..paying bills instead of a party night..Common sense is seldom the most cheered emotion.
    Re read that last paragraph.
    You hate doing the boring right things compared to the emotional highs of following your 1st impressions or heart.

    We know Obama wanted to FIRE YOU UP..Romney wants to FIRE HIM ..period.
    He might not be the best religious conservative ever..but you can count on him..Can you say that about newt ?
    Can you say Santorum was for smaller government and less spending of YOUR MONEY? Since when..he wasn't before a TEA PARTY WAS INVENTED.
    Neither was Paul since PORK was delivered for his district every term ?
    Over and over.

    Is Boring exciting or fun ?
    No ..but being broke and unemployed and spending $ 4 bucks on gas isn't that much fun either..
    Sometimes a boring politician might actually be like an offensive lineman on a football team..If you dont hear their name every minute..they are doing their job right.
    It's been so long since we had a president that WAS BORING.

    Maybe that IS what we need right now.
    Romney 2012

    how about Jeb Bush for VB ? :hug:

    If you watched FOX tonight..They DOWNPLAYED the CPAC win and Maine Victory.

    The so called Fox fix for Romney was NOT evident.
    CNN spun it as a bad moment for Romney until it was announced he won..
    Romney has to beat the left and the far right ..just to get to the middle..and he cant make them mad doing it..

    If Santorum had won tonight would have been the end ...

    Of newt.

    Last place is not 1st place.

    I'm just glad people are starting to wake up about Newt, I'd vote for almost anyone but him.

    Yes ..there is a GOD..and he isn't any one religion in any 7 states.

    Since IOWA and Maine dont matter ..either does Missouri and Colorado.

    Gee.. nothing matters !

    Read the scoreboard grasshopper.
    My Margarita diet since the MN caucus can finally end..
    Thank that same God !.

    Some club's straw poll is more important than the caucus of an actual state?

    About what, the newsletters? What evidence do you have that he knew about them? He doesn't seem like a liar; he usually tells the truth about things even when it hurts him politically to do so.

    A military that recklessly goes to war on presidential whim is not a strong military. It's a weak military that makes the whole country weaker.

    Romney may have been a good businessman but his record in government shows that he's not a small a government guy. The job of a politician (insofar as there is one) is not to create wealth but to not trample on freedom.

    I hope Romney goes back to Bain and continues to create wealth there.

    This has been address over and over. Earmarks aren't a spending issue but a procedural issue. Should Congress allocate the money or executive branch bureaucrats? That's the choice. Big government republicans like to grandstand about this because it makes them look like big spending cutters, even though it's totally meaningless.

    I see your poor taste in politicians is not limited to the architect of Obamacare.

    If they had given more attention to Maine, they would have had to report Ron Paul superb showing with 36% of the vote, only a hair less than Mr. Frontrunner's. That "ceiling" just keeps rising.

    Since Paul skipped this years event cause he already tore it up the last two years, he figured it was time to give the establishment the chance to nominate their establishment candidate they wanted. Mitten won by default.

    When mittens lose's to Obama in November, will it be the "churches" fault? Or will you finally acknowledge that he is a weak candidate?

    The biggest test To a Romney White House is not the Democrat Obama..but the ultra right wing conservative Republicans.

    Romney will simply pick a SOUTHERN Evangelical guy to bring that segment some peace and mind and then Destoy a guy who runs on $ 4-5 dollar gas and rising inflation as a position that he is leading in the right direction.

    Game over,

    Romney/Huckabee
    Romney Bush
    Romney/Rubio.

    Think Obama/Biden ? :spin:

    Not a chance in heaven..

    I could have voted for Romney. I really could have. But after this whole Maine incident, where they shut down caucuses that they knew would have benefited Ron Paul, no way. The Republican party has had nothing but disrespect for Ron Paul supporters, and I and many others are sick of it. No one but Paul. Should Mitt be the nominee, come general election, we're (*)(*)(*)(*)ing you over. Enjoy another 4 years of Obama. And before you say that I'm just bitter, hell yeah I'm bitter.

    Just look it up, I'm not going to do the work for you. The Maine GOP cancelled caucuses that Ron Paul was expected to do very well in, due to "bad weather". The local girl scouts in these precincts didn't cancel their meetings! And the guy who cancelled these caucuses? Romney supporter. 17% of the Maine caucuses will not be counted. If it was simply because of bad weather, they should have postponed the caucuses and held them a few days later. But not only did they cancel these caucuses, but they won't count, even if the caucuses are held. This is corruption at its worst.

    Does this fit in with Paul and the 9-11 blame the USA theory and the fix is in with Nevada..
    I Proved the Fix was in with the Paulbots straw polls this last year..
    Poor Paul..every thing is stacked against him..and he has all those military donors..yet in most military areas the vote is not for Ron Paul..

    I wonder why..?

    I DO agree with your OPP about the whole caucus system..
    A one day PRIMARY with a BINDING VOTE..tells voters they better get of their collective butts and vote..because it will be all over after that day.

    These Caucuses are NON BINDING..and normal people wont even bother..proven by the low voter turnouts.
    I want an official printed ballot with a number on it.I want a ID check at the door with a signature and address at the same time BEFORE THE VOTE.

    I want the vote totals to equal the number of people who voted..verified by each campaign to be sealed and delivered and reported within an hour after certification..
    If they cant do that..they have no business running an election.

    Mitt Romney of 2012 is losing to Mitt Romney of 2008. He clearly is not exciting the voters. How do you think that will play out come November should he get the nomination?

    Some numbers so far. Romney has lost votes from 2008 in 6 out of 9 states that have voted so far.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    NUMBER CRUNCHING
    2008 / 2012 / Percent Gain or Loss
    Maine
    Romney 2837 / 2190 -22.81%
    New Hampshire
    Romney 75546 / 97532 +29.10%
    Missouri
    Romney 172329 / 63826 -62.96%
    Iowa
    Romney 30021 / 29805 -0.72%
    Colorado
    Romney 33288 / 23012 -30.87%
    Nevada
    Romney 22646 / 16486 -27.20%
    Minnesota
    Romney 25990 / 8222 -68.36%
    Florida
    I am with you. They shut down Washington County for snow...while all the counties surrounding it has the same weather forecast. There was no big snow storm! Moreover the girl scouts didn’t even cancel their event in the same county. It was a county that has been traditionally a Ron Paul county and it would have given him the win. And it will when it does take its caucus. It’s just more BS moves by the republican establishment to prop up Mitt. Mitt is a worthless republican and most conservatives know it. They vote for him because the media makes him the front runner and they think he has already won the nomination and they want to beat Obama. But they hate the liberal dressed in republican garb. I know I do.
    Ron will take the county delegates in Maine like he as elsewhere where the actual State delegates have not been picked but the media has already given them to straw poll winners.
    But even if my candidate Ron Paul were to win, I have major doubts that the republicans can win against Obama. They are just not motivated to come out and vote. They are acting like they are already defeated.
    I will ask you the same question I asked several others...who by the way...have failed to give me an actual answer because they are scared to accept the truth...
    In your opinion...what was the cause of 9/11? Why did it happen?
    You don't have to get testy, I am sure it happened. I was hoping that you could help me out cause I was really busy today. The other guy got it for me thankfully, thank you.
    So this is just another Iowa "win" for Romney?
    That isn't the right question. The question should be based on facts. Like, "what was Al Quedas propaganda used to generate support for the 9/11 attacks to happen?"
    Since that is the question Ron Paul talks about, not "what do we think they think yada yada yada".
