Indeed. While the GOPers also have a few governors that are quiestionable regarding their portrayal of good governance, it was as if 2020 was the year in which Gretchen Whitmer decided to boldy adopt and display every possible negative stereotype ever before displayed by a baaaaaaaaad Dem Party politician just as long and and as hard as possible. It's still up in the air as I type this; but she only has herself to blame that her state has come as close as it has to turning red. She is a real piece of work.
On second thought, while not ALL the polling was wrong, it's NOT too soon to cite the polling in Michigan & Wisconsin as being VERY WRONG, since they'd given Biden SIZABLE leads, & that just ain't gonna materialize, no matter how long we wait. Pennsylvania's is going to end up off by more than the margin of error as well, though not as far. I'm not, "lambasting," them, just stating the fact. I don't know why those particular states were so far off, maybe it's the fault of the people who live there. But a lot of the polling was accurate in predicting tight races, even more so if one judiciously factored in how far off the polls had been in any given state in 2016. Guys this thread was civil and respectful for the most part from the opening of the polls until 1 am this morning. Can we stop the partisan BS and let this play out. It's razor close and both have a good chance to win so let's take a break between the partisan divide for a bit more.
Who is stealing the election? Count the black votes in Detroit, Wayne County. Shoot, that's my hometown, where I was born and grew up. 'Stealing the election " would be done by NOT counting the votes.
A few interesting breakdowns; This is what I suggested yesterday; the Corona virus hardly played a part in outcome of the election. (Under Trump supporters mainly, apparently.) Clearly, Trump supporters seem NOT to have blamed Trump for how he has handled the Crona virus. Even though people kept dying by the thousands while he was in office this last year. Instead, it seems voters are more concerned with the economy and apparently trust Trump to rebuild it. (Hence he is still in the race.) Strange indifferent attitude to a disease that kills and that Trump couldn't solve. And still can't. Or perhap people just don't care about he virus. Apparently they rather complain and rebel than understand the risk. It's not the disease that upsets people but a broken economy. And Trump reaped the benefits. It almost put him in for another four years. Or perhaps it still will...
Yes . . . but there is one problem with that. You have to have either enough personal charisma or the MSM wonks backing your party have got to absolutely have their propaganda stuff together so that your mere overnight presence in the targeted stated will result in huge and spontaneous crowds showing up. Otherwise you have a former political monster like Barack Obama unable to draw on his own merits more than a couple of hundred people to cheer for some sad sack like Joe Biden. Obviously Trump doesn't have the MSM working for him but he does have bags loads of charisma -- it's not a charisma that appeals to me in particular but it works just fine on most conservative types.
I guarantee that if Biden does end up losing that the corrupt mainstream media outlets will have learned precisely the same thing from this that they learned from their 2016 Hillary Clinton debacle . . . which was nothing. They will instead promptly double down again and promote every anti-Trump rumor or heresay that they can purchase or invent in order to limit Trump's second term successes -- if he does win again -- but also to prepare for 2024 and the next Dem Party candidate that they will proclaim to be the second coming of Barack Obama or god.

Indeed . . . or at least explain HOW Biden could consistently be up so many point for so many months and then mysteriously drop behind Trump on election night and yet still claim that those polling companies were not really working for the political interests of the DNC from the get-go.
Nope; as I type this it's early the next morning and votes are still being counted in key states. Mail in ballots matter. Trump's early declaration of a victory does not matter. The ballot counting will continue all on its own unless Biden does concede the election.
Well in popular vote Biden is still over 2.5 millions in front ... but unfortunately this does not matter and the same situation was last election with Hillary having millions of more votes as Trump, but being the looser. And if this bastard of current POTUS really wants to stop further counting of votes, then he will kill democracy in the USA by doing voter fraud!
I don't understand your post. I was attempting to do 2 things: 1) note the discrepency in CNNs counting, because of its possible ramifications (& such a mistake, or even such an apparent oversight, while leaving nebulous the actual state of the race, was not a professional look); 2) give an update, the best I could, of what was going on. If you had some criticism of either of those things, I didn't get it. As for the things I was relating about Biden, I spoke of his getting an unexpectedly high count, out of Milwaukee, of mail-in ballots that brought him from seemingly on the brink of defeat in that state, being down something like 116k votes, to having real hope of prevailing there, with a sudden lead of 10k votes. Again, I don't see how your comment would apply, unless you were just saying that it's all irrelevant because Biden was still going to lose the overall election. If that was your intent, I can only say 1) it wasn't the clearest reply I've ever received & 2) the final election result is still very much up in the air, w/ Biden's chances as good as Trump's.
NOT all of the votes have been COUNTED as of NOW! Be patient BEFORE berating the pollsters. Those mailed in ballots are STILL outstanding and AFTER they are counted they will probably end up much CLOSER to what the polls predicted.
I think it's because the behing the scenes movers and shakers of Fox News have drifted leftward over the past few years and are therefore on Biden's side; and thus that is damaging their ability to simply report the facts. It's just a guess, though.
Can't see either candidate conceding until Thursday if at all. NV isn't even resuming counts until then. Thus far, with Detroit ballots still coming in, I think Biden takes the cake by flipping Michigan and keeping NV and WI. Biden's numbers climbing fast with the absentees (WI flipped early this morning) while Trump is stagnant. I was hoping for a decisive victory for one of the candidates to avoid having to follow the counts so closely. This is bad because now the voting is over but states will likely flip. People ought to be delighted if their candidate loses electors days after the vote took place.
Just for interest, what would you say about a person who supported illegal invasion and war that cost untold lives, immense treasure and limitless diplomatic damage? This is no endorsement of Trump, just a simple question.
