Has anyone seen the Presidential Debate?
Oh my... It was a total clown show.

One of the comments on this video:
"Saturday Night Live won't even have to write a script for their parody of this, it's already a comedy skit"

And I think I'd have to agree with that.
    It was pathetic.

President Trump was being surprisingly disrespectful, infantile, immature, continually interrupting in a bullying sort of way (probably because he saw this as his opportunity to have fun). There were several things Trump said that were clever, but not extremely smart.
Biden, on the other hand, was being stone wall politician, talking without really saying anything very meaningful, dull, all just the usual talking points.
Biden actually held up pretty well. Biden is not stupid, but one could tell he maybe wasn't quite up to speed mentally, probably due to older age, and he was not as feisty or on-the-ball as Trump.

If one were to judge just by this debate, I don't think one would want either of these two to be president.

The debate was a total circus... but a little bit too pathetic to be very entertaining.

Icing on the cake was when the First Lady walked on stage at the very end.
Things were just a bit mechanical and a little bit fake.
Not as genuinely warm as Biden's wife.
(Although that's not really surprising if you know the backstory of Biden's wife, which was equally sort of not the most ideal situation. Biden stole his wife away from her first husband)

Did you actually think NOBODY made a thread about the debate last night?

I looked though the Elections & Campaign section where this sort of topic should have been posted in, and didn't see much.

In Trump's defense, maybe he spent too much time on Twitter.
I know at one point I started noticing I had become more combative in real-life conversation, from engaging in too many of these forum debates and so developing some bad habits and communication practices. It just starts becoming automatic after a while, and if an individual is not mindful it can become hard to switch it off in real-life (verbal) conversations. If Trump had become accustomed to arguments in the form of online messages, it might not be natural to him to not do what he did.
