I don't know what you call heavy left leaning. My comment was about Trump and his supporters being infallible. That has nothing to do with a political lean and everything to do with furiously disliking Trump. I also don't care for Biden too much but I like him (or everyone else on the planet and on other planets) more than I like Orange Jesus.

So, if I'm understanding you correctly, your position is that leftists judges are giving way too many people low/no bonds and nobody gave a damn about that until this particular genius caused a death by drunk driving. Is that accurate?

I am almost positive that you recognize that people just like to b!tch and very few of them get involved in trying to fix the stuff they are b!tching about, BUT *some* do and you have no way of knowing if anybody here is just venting or an active participant in championing for the causes they believe in which makes your statement unfair.

I get that. Most of us would be upset by that situation unless we have some kind psychological deficit.

What are some ways that you can use that anger and frustration and turn it into a positive to effect the changes you would like to see happen within your community?

But apparently you are right about one thing. I don't want violent criminals released on low/no bond and the left has no problem with it regardless of how many people it gets hurt or killed. It appears those are terms I favor and the left doesn't.

Honestly, calling attention to it would probably go a long way to preventing it. I'm pretty sure this is something that, if called out by all sides, would probably stop as it would threaten elected officials chances at keeping their positions. Ignoring it is, IMO, the primary reason it goes on. And that is my problem with this instance. It wouldn't be noticed or talked about if it wasn't someone from 1/6.

 

I agree with that. When I was a child abuse advocate, there were so many cases of people being completely railroaded within the system and nobody cared. There is a sitting judge right now that has NEVER ruled for the mother in any divorce case. And, the kicker is in some of those cases the mothers were very concerned for their children because her estranged spouse was involved in kinky stuff with pedophiles and using their own children toward that end. However, according to that judge, all of it was "just false accusations" (after refusing to allow any of the mothers to provide their proof or sometimes even attend the hearings).

Nobody would pay attention but Child Protective Services received THOUSANDS of call from concerned people when Britney Spears was photographed driving with her then-toddlers boys standing in the passenger seat.

I would bet that anybody reading this can you who Natalie Holloway was. I bet that anybody reading this can tell you who Jon Benet Ramsey was. Between those two mysterious deaths, hundred of black and brown children went missing and/or were murdered. Outside any police officers on any of those or child abuse advocates for those cases, I would bet that nobody else can name even ONE of them.

My point is this. As people, as adults, as citizens...our priorities are really messed up and what you're seeing in your community and what is happening all over the country is completely dysfunctional. We see this almost every day now. People are upset because the Capitol rioters are having to wait for their cases to be heard. I have yet to see one post on any forum I'm on in which someone was concerned about this very same issue when it happens to black and brown people. It's ridiculous for some to get offended and beat their chest about being non-racist (or non-sexist or not homophobic, no xenophobic, etc.) because their silence on these issues, across the board, speaks volumes and tells us exactly who they are.

 

Not everyone gets low bail which again proves your inability to recognize how they system works.

I've posted absurd numbers from a single county in this thread and clearly you're ok with this happening. I can't figure out any other reason for you taking this position.
