Here in Texas we understand that fires must be extinguished before we leave a camping area. We pick up after ourselves. We don't need permits to ensure we act civilized.

 

No, I'm not. Huge economies have always been cyclical in their ups and downs. It isn't usually about politics, but about the many factors of labor, incomes, taxation, and inflation. Markets are in control much more than governments.

 

That puts you in a tough position. If excessive taxes are not creating the thriving society promised by the left, why give them the money?

What are my choices? Taxes aren't optional.

 

I would have no issue handing half my earnings over to government if it created a thriving society. Since I live where taxes are the highest and so is poverty, I will never vote for higher taxes or a party that doesn't deliver. (That eliminates R and D in my book)

Every bond measure, save the world measure where they want more money, I vote NO. They can't manage what they have, so I can't see giving them more.

I am ashamed that I voted YES on Measure H, to help the homeless here in L.A. I will never again vote for more government or more taxes.

 

All of that has nothing to do with simply accepting that policies for taxation that you support result in localized inflation and increases the cost of living.

 

You see government as societies nanny, I see government as societies narcissistic drug addict boyfriend.

 

Go live on a deserted island with three of your best buddies. That makes four of you. You can do whatever the hell you want. Want to guess how it works out?

 

Translation: I want to believe in the tooth fairy so I cling to my childhood fantasies about being an adult.

You want to pay government for the opportunity to suckle at the teet. It's time to grow a pair of cajones and be an adult. Stop depending on the collective to dictate your life.
